1. Introduction

The Desiontal YT1200 Motorized Tripod Head is an intelligent remote-controlled electric head designed to enhance your photography and videography experience. 2. What's in the Box

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the YT1200 motorized head. Connect the provided USB-Type C charging cable to the charging port on the head and a suitable USB power source. The digital display will indicate the battery level. A full charge provides approximately 12 hours of work time.

3.2 Mounting the Tripod Head

The YT1200 features a 1/4-inch screw hole on its base, allowing it to be firmly mounted on monopods, light stands, or tripods. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and secure.

3.3 Attaching Your Device (Camera/Smartphone)

The motorized head comes with a 1/4-inch screw quick release plate on top for easy mounting of cameras and camcorders. For smartphones, use the included phone clip. The phone clip has soft rubber pads to protect your device.

To attach a camera:

  1. Securely attach your camera to the quick release plate.
  2. Slide the quick release plate with the camera onto the motorized head until it clicks into place.

To attach a smartphone:

  1. Attach the phone clip to the quick release plate.
  2. Secure your smartphone within the phone clip.
  3. Slide the quick release plate with the phone clip onto the motorized head until it clicks into place.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Remote Control Overview

The YT1200 is controlled by a 2.4G wireless remote control with a range of up to 100m/328ft. The remote features an OLED display for setting and monitoring various parameters.

4.2 Adjusting Rotation and Tilt

  • Horizontal Rotation: The head supports 360° horizontal rotation. Use the remote control's joystick or directional buttons to control the pan movement.
  • Vertical Tilt: The head supports 35° vertical angle adjustment. Use the remote control's joystick or directional buttons to control the tilt movement.
  • Adjustable Speeds: There are 9 adjustable rotating speeds (channels 00-99) to fine-tune the movement for different shooting scenarios. Adjust these settings via the remote control's OLED display.

4.3 A-B Point Round Trip Mode

This mode allows you to set two specific points (A and B) and have the head automatically cycle between them, ideal for repetitive movements or time-lapse sequences.

  1. Manually position the head to your desired Point A.
  2. Use the remote control to set Point A (refer to remote control instructions for specific button).
  3. Manually position the head to your desired Point B.
  4. Use the remote control to set Point B.
  5. Initiate the A-B round trip mode from the remote control. The head will now automatically move between Point A and Point B.

4.4 Auto Rotate Function

The auto-rotate function simplifies panoramic and vertical video shooting:

  • Horizontal Auto Rotation: Press the "AUTO" button and simultaneously move the rocker left or right on the remote control to start horizontal auto-rotation.
  • Vertical Auto Rotation: Press the "AUTO" button and simultaneously move the rocker up or down on the remote control to start vertical auto-rotation.

4.5 Wireless Shutter Control

The YT1200 is equipped with a 3.5mm shutter connecting cable port, compatible with normal 3.5mm shutter cables. This allows you to remotely control your camera's shutter for timed photography without touching the camera, reducing shake and improving image stability.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the motorized head and remote control. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
