Setup and Installation
1. Charging the Device

2. Installing the Headset in Your Helmet
- Attach Speakers: Place the speakers inside your helmet's ear pockets. Use the provided velcro pads to secure them. Ensure speakers are positioned directly over your ears for optimal sound.
- Position Microphone: Attach the boom microphone to the inside of the helmet, positioning it close to your mouth but not directly in front to avoid wind noise. Secure the cable routing.
- Mount Main Unit: Clean the exterior surface of your helmet where you intend to mount the main Y3 unit. Attach a velcro mounting patch to the helmet. Then, press the Y3 unit onto the velcro patch. The unit's slightly concave back is designed to conform to helmet curves. Ensure a secure attachment.
- Connect Headset Cable: Plug the speaker and microphone cable into the Type-C port on the Y3 main unit.
3. Initial Pairing (Bluetooth with Phone)
- Power On: Press and hold the On/Off button until the pilot lamp flashes, indicating the device is powered on and in pairing mode.
- Activate Bluetooth: On your mobile phone, go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
- Select Device: Look for "Yaconob Y3" (or similar) in the list of available devices and select it to pair.
- Confirmation: Once paired, the pilot lamp will change its flashing pattern, and you may hear an audio confirmation.
4. Intercom Pairing (Device to Device)
To use the intercom function between two Y3 units:
- Ensure both Y3 units are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth devices.
- On both units, press and hold the On/Off button until they enter intercom pairing mode (indicated by a specific light pattern or voice prompt).
- Once both devices are in intercom pairing mode, they will automatically search and connect to each other. You will hear "Intercom Connected" and the pilot lamp will show a purple breathing light.
- To initiate intercom communication after pairing, click the On/Off button once.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the On/Off button for approximately 3 seconds.
- Power Off: Press and hold the On/Off button for approximately 5 seconds.
Phone Functions
- Answer Call: The device will automatically answer incoming calls after a few rings.
- End Call: Press the On/Off button once.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the On/Off button for 2 seconds during an incoming call.
- Voice Assistant (Siri/Google Assistant): Double-click the On/Off button to activate your phone's voice assistant.
Music Playback
- Play/Pause: Press the On/Off button once.
- Volume Up: Rotate the Multifunction Button clockwise.
- Volume Down: Rotate the Multifunction Button counter-clockwise.
- Next Track: Double-click the Multifunction Button clockwise.
- Previous Track: Double-click the Multifunction Button counter-clockwise.
Intercom Functions
- Start Intercom: After pairing, press the On/Off button once to initiate intercom communication.
- End Intercom: Press the On/Off button once during an active intercom call.
