3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your CAL 8B Digital Timer:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the "Components" section are present.
- Mounting (Optional): If desired, use the provided mounting brackets to secure the timer to a suitable surface. Ensure the surface is stable and can support the device.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the timer unit and then plug it into a standard 220V 50/60Hz electrical outlet. The timer will power on automatically.

4. Operating Instructions
The CAL 8B features eight independent timing channels, each with its own digital display. The control panel includes touch buttons for setting and managing timers.

Control Panel Buttons:
- TIME: Used to select a specific channel for time setting.
- REMINDER: Activates or deactivates the reminder function for the selected channel.
- ON/OFF: Powers the unit on or off, or starts/stops a timer.
- INCREASE (▲): Increases the time value during setting.
- DECREASE (▼): Decreases the time value during setting.
Setting a Timer:
- Select Channel: Press the TIME button repeatedly until the desired channel (1-8) is selected. The display for the selected channel may flash or indicate it's ready for input.
- Set Time: Use the INCREASE (▲) and DECREASE (▼) buttons to set the desired time in minutes and seconds. The time can be set from 00:00 to 99:59.
- Start Timer: Once the time is set, press the ON/OFF button to start the countdown for that channel.
- Reminder Function: To enable or disable the reminder for a channel, select the channel using the TIME button and then press the REMINDER button.
- Stopping a Timer: To stop a running timer, select the channel and press the ON/OFF button.
