6.1 Unlocking Methods

APP Remote Unlock: Use the Gosund app to unlock your door remotely from anywhere with an internet connection.
Mechanical Key Unlock: For traditional access or in case of power failure, use the physical backup keys provided.
Voice Control Unlock: Use voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant (requires prior setup and voice code).

6.2 Auto-Lock Function
The lock features an adjustable auto-lock function, which can be set via the app to automatically lock the door after a specified delay (5-1800 seconds) once it's closed. This ensures your home is always secure.
6.3 Anti-Hijacking Alerts
For enhanced safety, the lock includes an anti-hijacking alarm. You can set a specific palm vein pattern or password as a safety trigger. In an emergency, using this designated unlock method will send an instant alert to your family members via the app, providing a discreet way to signal distress.

6.4 Security Check with Logs
The Gosund app maintains a detailed log of all lock activity, including unlock events, alarm records, and ID adjustments. This allows you to quickly review entry logs to spot any unusual or unauthorized access, ensuring you're always in control of your home's security.
6.5 Personalized Access
Manage access for up to 50 palm vein IDs and 50 password users (1 admin + 49 regulars) through your app. This feature is ideal for families, guests, and service providers, allowing you to grant and revoke access as needed.
7. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable performance of your GHome Smart Door Lock.
7.1 Battery Life and Charging
The 7800mAh rechargeable battery provides approximately 8 months of power with an average of 10 unlocks per day. When the battery level drops below 20%, the lock will provide audio alerts, flash red lights, and send instant app notifications. Recharge the battery fully (4-6 hours) within 7 days of notification to keep your lock running smoothly. A USB-C port is available for emergency power if the battery is completely depleted.
8. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your GHome Smart Door Lock.
8.1 Weather Performance
The KD10 smart lock is designed to operate reliably in various weather conditions, from -4°F (-20°C) to 140°F (60°C) and humidity levels of 10%-85% (non-condensing). Its IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes, ensuring functionality even in challenging environments.
Video 2: Low-temperature testing of the KD10 Palm Vein Smart Lock, demonstrating its durability in extreme cold.
8.2 Recognition Issues
Palm Vein Recognition Failure: Ensure your palm is held within the recommended distance (2-6 inches) and angle. The technology recognizes vein patterns beneath the skin, so surface conditions (dryness, dirt) should not affect it. If issues persist, try re-registering your palm ID.
Keypad Unresponsive: Check the battery level. If the battery is low, the keypad may become unresponsive. Recharge the battery.
8.3 Connectivity Problems
App Connection Failure: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4G (5G is not supported). Verify your phone's Bluetooth is enabled. If initial connection fails, try the Wi-Fi networking mode as described in Section 5.1.
Remote Access Issues: Confirm your home Wi-Fi network is stable and the lock is within range of your router.
