5. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the compressor and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Placement: Position the compressor on a firm, level surface in a clean, well-ventilated area. Ensure adequate space around the unit for air circulation.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the compressor to a grounded 120V AC outlet. Ensure the power cord is not damaged or frayed.
  4. Accessory Attachment:
    • Apply thread seal tape to the threads of any male quick plugs or fittings before attaching them to the air hose or tools.
    • Connect the air hose to the quick coupler on the compressor by pulling back the collar on the coupler, inserting the male plug on the hose, and releasing the collar.
    • Attach desired air tools or accessories (e.g., blow gun, tire chuck) to the other end of the air hose using the same quick-connect method.

6. Operation

  1. Initial Start-up: Before first use, ensure the tank drain valve is closed. Plug in the compressor. The motor will start and build pressure in the tank. It will automatically shut off when maximum pressure (125 PSI) is reached.
  2. Adjusting Output Pressure: Use the large regulator knob to adjust the output air pressure to suit your application. Turn clockwise to increase pressure, counter-clockwise to decrease. The 'TOOL PRESSURE' gauge indicates the regulated output pressure.
  3. Using Air Tools: Once the desired pressure is set, operate your air tool according to its specific instructions. The compressor will cycle on and off automatically to maintain tank pressure.
  4. Shutting Down: When finished, turn off the compressor by unplugging it from the power outlet.
  5. Depressurizing: Before storing, release all air pressure from the tank by opening the tank drain valve or by activating an air tool until the tank pressure gauge reads zero.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air compressor.

  • Drain Air Tank Daily: Moisture accumulates in the air tank. To prevent rust and corrosion, drain the tank daily after each use. Open the air tank drain valve (Figure 6) and allow all moisture to escape. Close the valve tightly afterward.
  • Clean Air Filter: Periodically inspect and clean the air filter. Refer to the compressor's housing for filter location. A clogged filter can reduce performance.
  • Inspect Hoses and Fittings: Regularly check air hoses for cuts, abrasions, or leaks. Ensure all fittings are secure.
  • Oil-Free Pump: This compressor features an oil-free pump, eliminating the need for oil changes or lubrication.
