1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your MECOLOUR Sublimation Oven Machine, Model ME002. 2. Safety Instructions

To prevent injury or damage to the appliance, always follow these basic safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before operating the oven.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use oven mitts or gloves when handling hot items or surfaces.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or any part of the oven in water or other liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a toaster oven as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
  • A fire may occur if the oven is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
  • Do not store any materials, other than manufacturer’s recommended accessories, in this oven when not in use.
  • Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, or any materials not specifically designed for oven use.
  • Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electric shock.
  • Do not put the cups directly on the oven floor. Please put them on the rack for sublimation transfers.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the oven and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the oven on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface. Ensure adequate clearance (at least 4 inches) on all sides for proper ventilation. Do not place the oven directly on the oven floor; always use the provided rack for sublimation transfers.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Ensure the oven is completely dry before plugging it in.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V/60Hz electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for successful sublimation transfers using your MECOLOUR Sublimation Oven:

5.1 Preparing Your Sublimation Blank

  1. Attach Image: Securely attach your printed sublimation image to the tumbler or mug using heat-resistant tape. Ensure the image is tightly wrapped and free of air bubbles.
  2. Apply Shrink Wrap: Place a suitable shrink wrap around the tumbler or mug.
  3. Heat Shrink Wrap: Use a heat gun or air blower to heat the shrink wrap. This will make it fit tightly around the tumbler, ensuring even pressure during sublimation.

5.2 Oven Operation

  1. Power On: Short press the power button () to turn on the oven.
  2. Set Temperature and Time:
    • The default temperature is 185°C/365°F, 15 minutes.
    • To adjust, short press the "mode" button () to switch between temperature and time settings. The value on the screen will flash.
    • Rotate the rotary knob to set the desired temperature or time.
    • Press the °F/°C button to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius display.
    • Once settings are confirmed, short press the °F/°C button briefly to start the heating process.
  3. Load Blanks: Once the oven reaches the set temperature (the "pre-heat done" light will illuminate), carefully place your prepared tumblers or mugs onto the rack inside the oven.
  4. Start Countdown: Press the "countdown" button () to begin the sublimation process.
  5. Remove Finished Items: Once the timer expires and the oven beeps, carefully open the oven door using oven mitts. Remove the rack with the sublimated items. Allow them to cool before removing the sublimation paper and shrink wrap.
