1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Knhuz 1.8L Mini Electric Hot Pot with Steamer. This versatile appliance is designed for convenient cooking, ideal for individuals or small households. It features dual power settings, a non-stick interior, and a removable steamer for various culinary tasks. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance body in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Contact customer service for examination, repair, or adjustment.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended household use.
  • This appliance is equipped with Over-heating Protection and Boil Dry Protection. The unit will automatically shut off if the temperature exceeds a safe limit or if there is no water inside.
  • The exterior features a double-wall design to help prevent scalding when handling the pot.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the hot pot for any damage.
  2. Clean Before First Use: Wash the interior of the pot, the glass lid, and the steamer basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Do not immerse the main pot body (which contains electrical components) in water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
  3. Placement: Place the hot pot on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials and other heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  4. Connect Power: Insert the detachable power cable into the appliance's power inlet, then plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The Knhuz Electric Hot Pot offers two power settings for versatile cooking.

5.1 Power Settings

  • 300W (Low Power): Ideal for gentle heating, simmering, keeping food warm, or cooking delicate items like eggs, oatmeal, or soups.
  • 600W (High Power): Suitable for rapid boiling, steaming, searing, frying, or cooking larger meals like noodles, pasta, or shabu-shabu.

5.2 General Operation

  1. Add Ingredients: Place your desired ingredients into the main pot. Ensure the liquid level does not exceed the maximum fill line to prevent overflow.
  2. Select Power: Slide the power switch to the 'I' position for 300W (low heat) or 'II' position for 600W (high heat). The indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Cook: Allow the food to cook. Use the glass lid to retain heat and monitor progress.
  4. Steaming (Optional): If steaming, add water to the main pot (below the steamer level), place the steamer basket with food on top, and cover with the glass lid. Select the desired power setting.
  5. Finish Cooking: Once cooking is complete, slide the power switch to the 'O' position to turn off the appliance. Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet.
  6. Serve: Carefully remove food. Be cautious of hot steam and surfaces.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your Knhuz Electric Hot Pot.

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Interior Pot: The non-stick interior can be cleaned with a soft sponge and mild dish soap. For stubborn food residue, soak the pot in warm soapy water for a few minutes before cleaning. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Steamer Basket & Lid: These parts are dishwasher safe, or can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main pot body with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers, as they may damage the surface.
  • DO NOT immerse the main pot body in water or any other liquid. This will damage the electrical components.
  • Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Ensure there is sufficient liquid in the pot. If boil dry protection activated, add water and restart after cooling.
Food sticks to the bottom.
  • Insufficient oil/liquid.
  • Cooking at too high a temperature for too long without stirring.
  • Add a small amount of cooking oil or liquid.
  • Adjust power setting or stir food more frequently.
