Setup

Power Connection

1. Uncoil the AC power cord.
2. Insert the small end of the AC power cord into the AC IN jack located on the back of the HX-336CD unit.
3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet (AC 120V~60Hz).
4. The unit will power on and the display will illuminate.

Antenna Setup (for Radio)

For optimal FM reception, extend the telescopic FM antenna fully. For AM reception, the unit has a built-in AM antenna; try rotating the unit for better reception if needed.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

• Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.
• Volume Control: Use the VOLUME + and VOLUME - buttons to adjust the sound level.
• Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to switch between CD, FM Radio, AM Radio, Bluetooth, and Aux-In modes.

CD Player Operation

1. Open the CD compartment lid by gently lifting it.
2. Place an audio CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
3. Close the CD compartment lid.
4. Press the MODE button to select CD mode. "CD" will appear on the display.
5. The CD will begin playing automatically. If not, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
6. Press SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD to navigate between tracks.
7. Press the REPEAT button to repeat the current track or all tracks.
8. Press the STOP button to stop CD playback.

Radio Operation (AM/FM)

1. Press the MODE button to select FM or AM radio mode.
2. Press and hold the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to automatically scan for the next available station.
3. Press briefly to manually tune the frequency.
4. Preset Stations: To save a station, tune to the desired frequency, then press and hold the PRESET button until the preset number flashes. Use SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD to select a preset number, then press PRESET again to confirm.
5. To recall a preset station, briefly press the PRESET button, then use SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD to select the desired preset.

Bluetooth Operation

1. Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode. "BT" will appear on the display and flash, indicating pairing mode.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your external device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) and search for "HX-336CD".
3. Select "HX-336CD" from the list of available devices to pair. Once paired, "BT" will stop flashing and a confirmation tone may sound.
4. You can now play audio from your Bluetooth device through the HX-336CD. Use the controls on your device or the HX-336CD (Play/Pause, Skip) to control playback.

Aux-In Operation

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-IN jack on the HX-336CD.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone).
3. Press the MODE button to select Aux-In mode. "AUX" will appear on the display.
4. Control playback and volume from your external audio device.

Clock and Alarm Settings

1. Setting the Clock:
   • In standby mode, press and hold the TIME SET button. The hour digits will flash.
   • Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired time.
   • Press TIME SET again to confirm.
   • The clock can also auto-sync with Bluetooth when connected to a device that provides time information.
2. Setting Alarms (Dual Alarm):
   • In standby mode, press and hold ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button. The alarm hour digits will flash.
   • Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the alarm time.
   • Press ALARM 1/2 again to select the alarm source (Buzzer, Radio, or CD).
   • Press ALARM 1/2 one more time to confirm the alarm setting.
3. Snooze Function: When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to temporarily silence it for a few minutes.
4. Sleep Function: Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to set a sleep timer (e.g., 15, 30, 60, 90 minutes). The unit will automatically turn off after the set time.

Display Dimmer and Color Options

The 1.2" RGB LED display offers various brightness levels and color options.

• Dimmer: Press the DIMMER button repeatedly to cycle through different brightness levels for the display.
• RGB Color Changing: The display can show time in 7 regular colors or 4 dynamic RGB color changing modes. Refer to the unit's specific controls for cycling through these color options, usually integrated with the dimmer or a dedicated color button.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• CD Care: Handle CDs by their edges. Clean dirty CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
