  3. Open the foil pouch and remove the test cassette. Place it on a clean, flat surface.

  5. It is recommended to fast for a few hours before performing the test for optimal accuracy.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to perform the iron deficiency test:

  1. Clean the fingertip (preferably the middle or ring finger) with the provided alcohol pad. Allow it to air dry completely.
  2. Use the sterile lancet to prick the cleaned fingertip. Gently squeeze the finger to form a large drop of blood.
  3. Using the provided pipette, collect the blood sample. Ensure the pipette is filled to the indicated line.
  4. Add the collected blood sample to the 'S' (sample) well of the test cassette.
  5. Immediately add 3 drops of the buffer solution to the 'A' (assay) well of the test cassette.
  6. Start a timer for 10 minutes. Do not move the test cassette during this time.
  7. Read the results exactly at the 10-minute mark. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes, as they may be inaccurate.
