4. Operating Modes

The Aimery Speednet WiFi Extender supports two primary operating modes to meet various networking needs:

Repeater Mode

In Repeater Mode, the extender wirelessly connects to your existing router and amplifies its signal, extending Wi-Fi coverage to areas with weak or no signal. This mode is ideal for eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones and improving signal strength for wireless devices.

AP (Access Point) Mode

In AP Mode, the extender connects to your router via an Ethernet cable and transforms the wired connection into a new wireless network. This is useful for creating a new Wi-Fi hotspot in a specific area or for connecting wired devices to your network wirelessly.

7. Troubleshooting

Here are some frequently asked questions and their solutions:

  1. Q: Mobile phone settings or computer settings?
A: Both mobile phones and computers can be used for setup. Mobile phone settings are generally recommended for convenience and speed.
  2. Q: Cannot find the Wi-Fi name of the repeater?
A: Press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds on the side of the repeater using the card pin included in the box. Then, turn on and off your phone's airplane mode, and search for the network again.
  3. Q: Why didn't it jump to the repeater setting page?
A: First, ensure your mobile phone (or computer) is connected to the "wifi-XXX" Wi-Fi. If it does not automatically jump to the settings page, manually enter 192.168.11.1 in the browser's address bar.
  4. Q: Why is there still no network for the repeater after setup is completed?
A: Check whether the Wi-Fi password set for the repeater is the same as the Wi-Fi password of the main router. These must be consistent for the extender to function correctly.
