5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Display Information
The device's display shows the following information:
- CO2 Concentration: Measured in parts per million (PPM).
- Temperature: Displayed in Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C).
- Humidity: Displayed as a percentage (RH%).
- Indicator Lights: Provide a quick visual reference for CO2 levels (Green: Normal, Yellow: Warning, Red: Danger).
5.2 Button Functions
The device features three control buttons:
- Left Button (Sun Icon): Adjusts display brightness (High, Low, Off). Also used for manual calibration.
- Middle Button (Circle Icon): Switches temperature unit between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C). Also used to set CO2 alarm value.
- Right Button (Bell Icon): Toggles the audible alarm on/off.

5.3 CO2 Alarm Feature
The device is pre-set to sound an alarm when CO2 levels exceed 1500 PPM. You can customize this alarm threshold:
- Press and hold the Middle Button (Circle Icon) for 3 seconds to enter alarm setting mode.
- Use the Left Button (Sun Icon) to decrease the value and the Right Button (Bell Icon) to increase the value.
- Press the Middle Button (Circle Icon) again to confirm and exit the setting mode.
6. Manual Calibration
To ensure the most accurate CO2 readings, manual calibration is recommended periodically.
- Placement: Take the device to a well-ventilated outdoor area with fresh air.
- Initiate Calibration: Press and hold the Left Button (Sun Icon) for 5 seconds. The display will show a countdown (e.g., "200").
- Calibration Process: The device will calibrate for approximately 200 seconds.
- Completion: Once calibration is complete, the screen will display "Calibration ✓". The device is now calibrated and ready for use.

7. CO2 Concentration Levels
The device categorizes CO2 levels into three stages for easy understanding:
- Normal Stage: 400-600 PPM (Green indicator)
- Warning Stage: 700-1499 PPM (Yellow indicator)
- Danger Stage: 1500-5000 PPM (Red indicator)

8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings on the device are not blocked to allow for proper air circulation and accurate readings.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place.
9. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display/Device not turning on | Not properly plugged in; Power outage | Ensure the device is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check the power supply. |
| Inaccurate CO2 readings | Needs calibration; Sensor obstruction | Perform manual calibration as described in Section 6. Ensure ventilation openings are clear. |
| Alarm sounds frequently | High CO2 levels; Alarm threshold too low | Increase ventilation in the area. Adjust the CO2 alarm threshold (Section 5.3). |
| Display is too dim/bright | Brightness setting needs adjustment | Press the Left Button (Sun Icon) to cycle through brightness levels (Section 5.2). |
