3. Setup and Initial Use

3.4 Device Thickness Consideration
The thickness of your device, including any case, should not exceed 0.45 inches (approximately 1.14 cm). Exceeding this thickness may prevent the page turner from functioning correctly.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Page Turning Function
Once the receiver is properly attached and activated, simply press the page-turning button on the remote control to advance pages. There is no noticeable lag between pressing the button and the page turning.

4.2 Reading Light Function
The remote controller features an illuminated light for reading in low-light conditions. Long press the light button for 3 seconds to turn it on, and short press to turn it off.
4.3 Remote Photo and Video Capture
The remote control can also trigger image or video recording on compatible devices from up to 98 feet away. When using this function, ensure the receiver is clipped onto the confirmation button on your screen.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Life and Charging
The remote controller can operate for approximately 180 days on a single charge, based on normal reading habits. The receiver lasts about 60 days per charge. The receiver also has a 10-minute standby mode to conserve power; press the power button to reactivate it.

5.2 Cleaning and Storage
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Store the page turner in a cool, dry place when not in use.
6. Troubleshooting
- Device not responding: Ensure both the remote and receiver are charged and powered on. Verify the receiver is correctly clipped to the screen, with the trigger point and silicone pad making proper contact.
- Intermittent connection: Check the distance between the remote and receiver; while it supports up to 98 ft, obstacles can interfere. Ensure no other devices are causing interference.
- Receiver enters standby mode: The receiver enters standby after 10 minutes of inactivity to save power. Press its power button to reactivate it.
- Page turning not working on specific apps/devices: Confirm your device/app is listed under compatible devices. Adjust the receiver's position on the screen, ensuring it aligns with the area that triggers a page turn in your specific app (e.g., top left edge for Apple Books as noted by some users).
