Important Safety Instructions

• Read all instructions before using the appliance.

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the rice cooker and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the non-stick inner pot, measuring cup, and rice paddle with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
3. Placement: Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
4. Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the rice cooker and then into a compatible electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Basic Rice Cooking

1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. The 3-liter capacity is suitable for 2-6 people.
2. Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
3. Add Water: Place the washed rice into the non-stick inner pot. Add the appropriate amount of water according to the rice type and desired consistency. Refer to the water level markings inside the inner pot or a standard rice-to-water ratio (e.g., 1 cup rice to 1.5-2 cups water for white rice).
4. Place Inner Pot: Carefully place the inner pot into the main unit, ensuring it sits correctly.
5. Close Lid: Close the lid securely until it clicks into place.
6. Select Mode: Plug in the rice cooker. The smart control panel will illuminate. Press the "Menu" button to cycle through available cooking modes such as "White Rice", "Brown Rice", "Porridge", "Soup", or "Slow Cooking".
7. Start Cooking: Once the desired mode is selected, press the "Start" button. The indicator light for the selected mode will illuminate, and the cooking process will begin.
8. Keep Warm: After cooking is complete, the rice cooker will automatically switch to "Keep Warm" mode. This function maintains the temperature of the cooked food.
9. Serve: Use the provided rice paddle to serve. Avoid using metal utensils to protect the non-stick coating.

Using Other Cooking Modes

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Hoper Layer rice cooker.

1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
