4. Setup and Assembly

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, thoroughly clean all parts that will come into contact with food (cylinder, piston, nozzles) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat, and sturdy work surface. The robust support structure allows for secure mounting if desired.
  4. Cylinder Installation: Ensure the 7-liter cylinder is correctly seated within the machine's frame. The cylinder is designed for easy filling.

5.2. Filling the Cylinder

  1. Raise the piston completely by cranking the handle counter-clockwise until it reaches its highest position.
  2. Tilt the piston assembly away from the cylinder (if applicable for your model) or remove the cylinder for easier access.
  3. Fill the 7-liter cylinder with your prepared sausage mixture or churro dough. Ensure not to overfill.
  4. Return the piston assembly to its operating position, ensuring it is aligned with the cylinder.

5.3. Extruding Product (Sausages or Churros)

  1. For sausage filling, place the casing over the selected sausage nozzle. For churros, prepare your baking sheet or frying setup.
  2. Slowly turn the crank handle clockwise. The machine offers 2 speeds for controlled extrusion. Adjust the speed by selecting the appropriate gear on the crank mechanism.
  3. The piston will descend, pushing the mixture out through the nozzle. The purge valve on the piston helps to release trapped air for a smoother flow.
  4. Continue cranking until the desired amount of product is extruded.
  5. This manual model is designed for ease of use, suitable for both left-handed and right-handed operators.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and proper maintenance will extend the life of your GGM Gastro WFMHB7 machine and ensure hygienic operation.

  1. Immediate Cleaning: After each use, disassemble all parts that came into contact with food (cylinder, piston, nozzles).
  2. Washing: Wash these parts thoroughly with warm water and a mild, food-safe detergent. Use a brush to remove any residue.
  3. Rinsing: Rinse all components thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
  4. Drying: Dry all parts completely before reassembly or storage to prevent water spots and corrosion. The stainless steel construction is waterproof and resistant to blood, grease, oil, and temperature changes.
  5. Lubrication: Periodically, apply a small amount of food-grade lubricant to the piston rod and gears to ensure smooth operation and protect against corrosion. All gears and the piston rod are made of metal for high-pressure resistance.
  6. Storage: Store the machine in a clean, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter. For problems not listed here, please contact customer support.
