1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

WARNING: This product is not a toy. It is intended for users aged 16 and above. Operation requires adult supervision for minors. Nitro fuel is flammable and toxic. Always operate in well-ventilated areas and away from ignition sources.

  • Always operate the RC car in open areas, away from people, pets, and obstacles.
  • Never operate near public roads or in residential areas where it could cause disturbance or danger.
  • Keep hands, face, and loose clothing away from moving parts, especially the engine and wheels, when the car is running.
  • Nitro engines become extremely hot during operation. Allow the engine to cool completely before handling or performing maintenance.
  • Store nitro fuel in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children and pets.
  • Always turn off the RC car and remote control when not in use.
  • Ensure all screws and fasteners are tightened before each use.
  • Do not operate in extreme weather conditions (heavy rain, snow, strong winds). While the receiver and battery box are waterproof, other components may be sensitive to moisture.

4. Initial Setup

4.1 Remote Control Preparation

  1. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the 2.4G FLYSKY FS-FT Remote Control.
  2. Insert the required batteries (usually AA, refer to remote control manual for exact type and quantity) ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.2 Fueling the RC Car

  1. Ensure the engine is cool and the car is on a stable, level surface.
  2. Carefully open the fuel tank cap.
  3. Using a suitable fuel bottle, fill the tank with high-quality nitro fuel (typically 16% or 20% nitromethane for break-in, consult engine manufacturer recommendations). Do not overfill.
  4. Securely close the fuel tank cap.

4.3 Pre-Run Checks

  • Inspect all visible components for damage or loose connections.
  • Check the tightness of wheel nuts and suspension components.
  • Ensure the air filter is clean and properly seated.
  • Verify that the steering and throttle linkages move freely and are correctly adjusted.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Engine Starting Procedure

  1. Turn on the remote control first, then the RC car's receiver.
  2. Prime the engine by covering the exhaust pipe and pulling the pull-starter a few times until fuel is visible in the fuel line.
  3. Attach a charged glow plug igniter to the glow plug on the engine head.
  4. Pull the pull-starter firmly and smoothly until the engine starts. Do not yank excessively.
  5. Once the engine starts, remove the glow plug igniter. The engine should idle smoothly.
  6. Allow the engine to warm up for a minute or two before driving.

5.2 Driving the RC Car

  • Use the steering wheel on the remote control to turn the front wheels left or right.
  • Use the trigger on the remote control to control throttle (pull for forward, push for brake/reverse if applicable).
  • Start with gentle throttle inputs to get accustomed to the car's handling.
  • Avoid prolonged full-throttle operation during the break-in period (refer to engine manual for break-in procedures).

5.3 Engine Shut-down

To stop the engine, either pinch the fuel line or apply the brake until the engine stalls. Never let the engine run out of fuel at high RPMs.

  • Clean the exterior of the car, removing dirt, mud, and debris.
  • Check for any loose screws, nuts, or damaged parts.
  • Inspect the air filter and clean or replace if necessary.
