3. Setup

Before first use, familiarize yourself with the backpack's compartments and adjustable features. Unpack all accessories included in the box.

3.1 Adjusting the Harness System

  1. Loosen all straps: shoulder straps, sternum strap, and waistbelt.
  2. Put on the backpack and adjust the waistbelt first, ensuring it sits comfortably on your hips to distribute weight.
  3. Tighten the shoulder straps until the pack feels snug against your back.
  4. Adjust the sternum strap for chest comfort and stability.
  5. Utilize the load lifter straps (located above the shoulder straps) to pull the top of the pack closer to your body.

3.2 Customizing Internal Dividers

The MaxFit divider system uses hook-and-loop fasteners. Rearrange the dividers to create custom compartments that perfectly fit your camera bodies, lenses, and other accessories. Ensure all gear is snugly secured to prevent movement during transport.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Accessing Gear

  • Side Access: For quick lens or camera body changes, use the dual side zippers. Rotate the backpack to your front, keeping one shoulder strap on, and unzip the desired side panel.
  • Top Access: Ideal for quickly grabbing a camera with a long lens attached. Unzip the top compartment for direct access.
  • Full Back Access: For complete gear organization or accessing larger items, lay the backpack on its front and unzip the entire back panel. This also provides enhanced security as the main compartment zipper rests against your back when worn.

4.2 Using the SlipLock System

Attach compatible SlipLock pouches or other accessories to the exterior webbing loops. This allows for quick expansion of carrying capacity for items like water bottles, lens cases, or small utility pouches.

4.3 All Weather Cover (AWC)

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Allow to air dry completely.
  • Zipper Care: Keep zippers free of dirt and debris. Lubricate occasionally with a silicone-based spray if they become stiff.
  • Storage: Store the backpack in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Ensure it is empty and clean to prevent mold or mildew.
  • All Weather Cover: After use in wet conditions, ensure the AWC is completely dry before folding and storing it back in its pocket.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Discomfort: If the backpack feels uncomfortable, re-adjust the shoulder straps, sternum strap, and waistbelt to ensure proper weight distribution. The ActivZone harness is designed for ergonomic support.
  • Gear Not Fitting: Reconfigure the MaxFit dividers to optimize space for your specific gear. Remove unnecessary dividers if more open space is required.
  • Zippers Sticking: Clean zippers with a small brush to remove any trapped dirt. Apply a zipper lubricant if needed.
