1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. This appliance is for domestic use only.

  • Read all instructions: Before operating the water heater, read all instructions carefully.
  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the voltage specified on the appliance (220-240V). Use a three-prong grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords.

5. Installation

Important: Installation should only be performed by a qualified professional. Ensure all safety instructions in Section 2 are followed.

5.1 Installation Requirements

  • Tap water pressure must be 0.1 MPa or higher.
  • A three-prong grounded electrical outlet is required.
  • Sufficient floor drainage must be available at the installation location.
  • The installation area must provide adequate space for the unit and its connections.
  • Hot and cold water faucets (not included) are necessary for connection.

5.2 Installation Steps

  1. Choose Location: Select a suitable location, typically under a sink or cabinet, ensuring it is as close as possible to the faucet to minimize pipe length and heat loss.
  2. Mounting: Securely mount the water heater vertically using the provided mounting parts. Ensure the unit is stable and level.
  3. Connect Water Inlet/Outlet: Connect the cold water supply to the blue inlet and the hot water outlet to your faucet using G1/2" interfaces. Install the pressure limiting valve on the cold water inlet line.
  4. Fill with Water: Before connecting to power, open the hot water faucet to allow the unit to fill completely with water and purge any air from the system. Wait until water flows steadily from the hot water faucet.
  5. Electrical Connection: Once the unit is filled with water, plug the power cord into a grounded three-prong outlet.
  6. Check for Leaks: Inspect all connections for leaks. Tighten if necessary.

6. Operating Instructions

The MINRS SY-8 water heater is designed for simple operation.

6.1 Power On/Off

  • To turn on the unit, ensure it is properly installed and filled with water, then plug it into the power outlet. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • To turn off the unit, unplug it from the power outlet.

6.2 Temperature Adjustment

The water temperature can be adjusted using the rotary knob on the front of the unit. The temperature range is 30°C to 65°C.

  • Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the temperature.
  • Rotate the knob counter-clockwise to decrease the temperature.
  • Low Temperature (e.g., 30-40°C): Suitable for hand washing or delicate tasks.
  • Medium Temperature (e.g., 40-55°C): Ideal for dishwashing.
  • High Temperature (e.g., 55-65°C): For tasks requiring hotter water, such as soaking feet.

Note: The actual outlet temperature may be affected by incoming water temperature, water pressure, and voltage fluctuations.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your water heater.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Descaling: Depending on your water hardness, periodic descaling may be necessary. This should be performed by a qualified technician.
  • Pressure Limiting Valve: Periodically check the pressure limiting valve for proper operation. Refer to the valve manufacturer's instructions for maintenance.
  • Winterization (if applicable): If the unit is in an area subject to freezing temperatures and will not be used for an extended period, drain the unit completely to prevent damage from freezing water.
