1. Product Overview
The ESPOO YM201 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is a compact, portable device designed for non-invasive spot-check measurement of oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate (PR) through the finger. It features a clear 1.14-inch TFT display for easy reading of measurements and offers 20-set memory storage for trend tracking.

3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
The device requires two AAA batteries for operation. Follow these steps to install them:
- Open the battery cover located on the back of the device.
- Insert the two AAA batteries according to the polarity markings (+ and -) inside the compartment. Ensure correct alignment.
- Close the battery cover securely.
WARNING:
- Incorrect battery installation may damage the device.
- Remove batteries if the equipment will not be used for a long time to prevent leakage.
3.2 Lanyard Installation
Thread the thinner end of the lanyard through the hanging hole on the device and then thread the thicker end through the thinner end to secure it.

4. Operation
4.1 Basic Measurement
- Ensure batteries are correctly installed.
- Open the clamp of the oximeter.
- Insert one finger into the rubber hole of the oximeter (it is best to insert the finger completely) with the nail surface upward, then release the clamp.
- Press the power button on the front panel to turn on the oximeter.
- The oximeter will display the measurement data within approximately 8 seconds. Keep your hand still during measurement.
- The device will automatically power off after 8 seconds of inactivity.

4.2 Settings Interface and Menu Navigation
To access the settings menu:
- After turning on the oximeter, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. The oximeter will display the setting menu.
- Short press the button to move the "*" cursor to the desired option.
- Hold the button to confirm your selection or enter a sub-menu.
The menu allows you to adjust settings such as alarm limits, sound, brightness, and review stored data.

4.3 Brightness Adjustment
The display brightness can be adjusted to 5 levels. This setting is accessible through the menu to ensure clear readings in various lighting conditions.

4.4 Data Storage and Recall
The oximeter can store up to 20 sets of measurement data. To review stored data, navigate to the "DATA REVIEW" option in the settings menu. You can scroll through the recorded SpO2 and PR values.

5. Important Safety Information and Precautions
Please read and understand the following precautions before using the device:
- The oximeter is intended for non-medical use by healthy people to monitor their pulse rate and blood oxygen levels. It is not intended to diagnose or treat any medical condition or disease.
- For sports and aviation use. People who need SpO2 and pulse rate measurements because of a medical condition should consult with their physician.
- Do not use the oximeter in an MRI or CT environment.
- Do not use the oximeter in situations requiring alarm systems.
- Do not use the oximeter on the same finger with a blood pressure cuff, arterial catheter, or infusion line.
- Do not use the oximeter on fingers with nail polish, artificial nails, or other cosmetic applications as this may affect accuracy.
- Avoid strong light exposure to the sensor during measurement.
- Ensure the finger is clean and dry before use.
- Excessive movement during measurement may affect accuracy.
6. Maintenance, Cleaning, and Disinfection
6.1 Maintenance
The equipment's design life expectancy is about 2 years. To ensure longevity and proper function:
- Clean the equipment before use according to Section 6.2.
- Remove batteries if the device will not be used for a long time.
- Replace batteries when the battery voltage indicator is low.
- Store the equipment in a dry environment with no corrosive gases and good ventilation. High moisture and light environments can affect its lifespan.
- Store between -20°C to 60°C with relative humidity less than 95%.
- The packed equipment can be transported by ordinary conveyance. Do not transport with toxic, harmful, or corrosive materials.
WARNING: No modification of this equipment is allowed.
6.2 Cleaning
Your equipment should be cleaned on a regular basis. If there is heavy pollution or lots of dust and sand in your place, the equipment should be cleaned more frequently. Before cleaning the equipment, consult your hospital's regulations for cleaning the equipment. Recommended cleaning agents are: a) Ethyl alcohol (70%).
To clean your equipment, follow these rules:
- Shut down the pulse oximeter.
- Clean the display screen using a soft, clean cloth dampened with a glass cleaner.
- Clean the exterior surface of the equipment and probe using a soft cloth dampened with the cleaning solution.
- Wipe off all the cleaning solution with a dry cloth after cleaning if necessary.
- Dry your equipment in a ventilated, cool place.
To avoid damage to the equipment, follow these rules:
- Always dilute according to the manufacturer's instructions or use lowest possible concentration.
- Do not immerse part of the equipment in the liquid.
- Do not pour liquid onto the equipment or accessories.
- Never use abrasive materials (such as steel wool or silver polish), or corrosive cleaners (such as acetone or acetone-based cleaners).
- If you have doubts about the equipment, contact us or your service personnel.
6.3 Disinfection
Clean the pulse oximeter before disinfecting it. The recommended disinfectant is ethanol 70%. Disinfection steps are similar to cleaning.
CAUTION: Never use EtO or formaldehyde for disinfection.

7. Troubleshooting
