5. Setup
5.1 Initial Charging
Upon receiving your Sursnong StarShine SE, the battery may not be fully charged. It is recommended to fully charge the device before its first use. Refer to Section 6.3 for detailed charging instructions.
5.2 Attaching the Ball Mount
Use the provided L-type screwdriver to securely attach the ball mount to the designated mounting point on the light. Ensure it is tightened sufficiently to prevent movement during use.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off and Light Mode Selection
The Sursnong StarShine SE features two control buttons for operation.
- White Light Modes: Press the left button to cycle through white light modes:
- White-High (7500 lumens, approx. 1.2 hours runtime)
- White-Medium (4000 lumens, approx. 3 hours runtime)
- White-Low (1500 lumens, approx. 6 hours runtime)
- Colored Light Modes: Press the right button to cycle through colored light modes:
- Red Light (620nm, approx. 8 hours runtime)
- Blue Light (455nm, approx. 11 hours runtime)
- Double-tap for Red/Blue light combination
- Red Light (used as emergency alarm)
- Power Off: In any mode, press and hold either switch for two seconds to turn off the flashlight.

6.2 Power Indicator and Lock Function
The power indicator provides real-time battery status.
- Blue Indicator: More than 30% battery remaining.
- Red Indicator: 5% - 30% battery remaining.
- Lock/Unlock: To prevent accidental activation, press and hold both switches simultaneously for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the power switch.

6.3 Charging Instructions
The StarShine SE features a convenient Type-C charging port.
- Locate the charging port cover on the device.
- Use the provided circular coin or a thin screwdriver to carefully unscrew the charging port cover.
- Connect the Type-C charging cable to the port and a suitable USB power source.
- The power indicator will show charging status (e.g., blinking red/blue).
- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and securely fasten the charging port cover to ensure waterproofing.
Important Note: The battery parameters are laser-etched on the light for airline travel regulations.

- After Saltwater Use: Immediately after each use in saltwater, rinse the entire light thoroughly with fresh water.
- Drying: Dry the light completely with a soft cloth before storage.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and corrosive substances.
