3. Device Overview

3.1 Main Unit and Display

The monitor features a 4.2-inch LCD screen that displays measurement results and other information. Buttons for operation are located below the screen.

3.2 Tri-Color Backlight Interpretation

The display backlight changes color to provide a quick visual indication of your blood pressure category according to WHO guidelines:

  • Green: Blood pressure below 140 mmHg (Normal)
  • Yellow: Blood pressure between 140-180 mmHg (Mild to Moderate Hypertension)
  • Red: Blood pressure above 180 mmHg (Severe Hypertension)

4. Setup

4.1 Power Supply

The device can be powered by either a USB connection or 4 AA batteries (not included).

  • USB Power: Connect the provided USB cable to the monitor and a compatible USB power source (e.g., laptop, power adapter). This is recommended for continuous use.
  • Battery Power: Open the battery compartment on the back of the device and insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Battery power is suitable for travel.

4.2 Setting Date and Time

To set the date and time, press the "SET" button. Use the "MEM" button to adjust values and "SET" to confirm and move to the next setting. Follow the on-screen prompts.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Preparation for Measurement

  • Avoid eating, drinking alcohol, smoking, exercising, and bathing for 30 minutes before measurement.
  • Rest for at least 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
  • Sit in a comfortable position with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
  • Place your arm on a flat surface so the cuff is at heart level.

5.2 Cuff Placement

The adjustable cuff fits arm circumferences from 8.7 to 16.5 inches.

  1. Ensure the air tube is positioned on the inside of your arm, aligned with your middle finger.
  2. Wrap the cuff snugly around your bare upper arm, approximately 0.8-1.2 inches (2-3 cm) above the elbow joint.
  3. The cuff should be tight enough that you can only insert two fingers between the cuff and your arm.

5.3 Taking a Measurement

The device features one-button operation.

  1. With the cuff correctly placed and the device powered on, press the large "START/STOP" button.
  2. The cuff will automatically inflate, and the measurement will begin. Remain still and silent during the measurement.
  3. Once complete, the systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate readings will be displayed on the screen. The device will automatically turn off after 30 seconds.

5.4 Audio Reading Function

The monitor includes an audio reading function. To turn the audio on or off, or to adjust its volume, use the "SET" button in conjunction with the "MEM" button as indicated in the device's settings menu.

5.5 Dual User Mode and Memory Recall

The device can store up to 99 readings for two distinct users (User 1 and User 2), including date and time stamps.

  • To switch between User 1 and User 2, press the "SET" button when the device is off.
  • To recall past measurements, press the "MEM" button when the device is off. Repeatedly press "MEM" to scroll through stored readings.

5.6 Alarm Function

The device includes an alarm function to remind users to take measurements at a consistent time daily. Refer to the device's settings menu (accessed via the "SET" button) to configure or disable this feature.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Clean the monitor unit and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
  • Store the device in its storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Contact customer support for assistance.

7. Troubleshooting
