- Reserve Water Alarm: When the water level drops to the 'Reserve' sensor, the alarm will sound, indicating that the tank is nearly empty.
- Low Battery Alert: The device will emit a short beep every two hours when the battery power is low, signaling that the AA cells need replacement.
- Wire Breakage Indication: If there is a break in the sensor wire, the LED indicator on the Main Device will show a Red or Violet color, alerting you to a connection issue.
6. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Swarn Jal alarm system, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Sensor Cleaning: Periodically inspect the brass sensors in the water tank for any buildup of sediment or mineral deposits. Gently clean them with a soft cloth to ensure accurate water level detection.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the two AA cells when the low battery warning (short beep every two hours) is activated. Use good quality alkaline batteries for best performance and battery life.
- Wire Inspection: Occasionally check the sensor wire for any signs of wear, damage, or corrosion, especially at connection points. Address any issues promptly to prevent wire breakage.
- Device Cleaning: Keep the Main Device unit clean and free from dust. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Swarn Jal alarm, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Alarm not sounding or false alarms | Sensors are dirty or corroded; Sensors are not placed correctly; Wire connection issue. | Clean the brass sensors. Ensure sensors are at the correct water levels and securely fastened. Check all wire connections between sensors, sensor hub, and main device. |
| Low alarm sound/buzzer volume | This model has a fixed sound output. | Ensure the device is placed in a location where the 85 dB alarm can be clearly heard. Consider placing it closer to areas where occupants are frequently present. |
| Device not powering on | Dead or incorrectly inserted batteries. | Replace the AA batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). |
| Wire Breakage Indication (Red/Violet LED) | Break in the sensor wire or loose connection. | Inspect the entire length of the sensor wire for any cuts or damage. Check the connections at both the sensor hub and the main device. Repair or replace the wire if necessary. |
| Alarm sounds continuously or erratically | Sensor malfunction or water bridging between sensors. | Ensure sensors are clean and properly spaced. If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
