1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective use of your WINAMOO 6V-24V Automotive Circuit Tester. 3. Setup and Preparation

1. Inspect the Tester: Before each use, visually inspect the circuit tester for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires, cracked housing, or a bent probe. Do not use if damaged.
2. Connect the Ground Clip: Attach the large alligator clip securely to a clean, unpainted metal part of the vehicle's chassis or directly to the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery. Ensure a good electrical connection.
3. Remove Probe Protective Sleeve: Carefully slide off the anti-lost protective sleeve from the sharp stainless steel probe.

4. Operating Instructions

The WINAMOO 6V-24V Automotive Circuit Tester is designed for quick and accurate voltage and polarity testing in DC electrical systems.

4.1. Testing for Voltage and Polarity

1. Ensure the alligator clip is properly grounded (connected to a known good ground or battery negative terminal).
2. Carefully touch the sharp probe to the circuit or component you wish to test.
3. Observe the indicator light in the tester's handle:
   • If the red light illuminates, the circuit has a positive voltage (positive polarity).
   • If the green light illuminates, the circuit has a negative voltage (negative polarity).
   • If neither light illuminates, there is no voltage present, or the voltage is outside the 6-24V range, or there is a poor connection.
4. The built-in tungsten bulb will also illuminate if voltage is detected, providing additional visual confirmation and ambient light in dark areas.

4.2. Testing Fuses

1. With the alligator clip grounded, touch the probe to the metal test points on top of the fuse.
2. If both test points illuminate (red or green, depending on the circuit's polarity), the fuse is likely good.
3. If only one side illuminates, or neither side illuminates, the fuse is blown and needs replacement.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: After each use, wipe the probe and the body of the tester with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dirt, grease, or moisture. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Always replace the protective sleeve over the probe before storing. Store the tester in a dry, clean place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep out of reach of children.
• Wire Care: Avoid excessive pulling or stretching of the coiled spring wire to prevent damage.

• Tester does not light up:
  • Check if the alligator clip has a good ground connection. Ensure it's attached to a clean, unpainted metal surface or the battery's negative terminal.
  • Verify that the circuit being tested has voltage within the 6-24V DC range.
  • Ensure the probe is making good contact with the test point.
• Incorrect polarity indication:
  • Re-check the ground connection of the alligator clip. A poor ground can lead to inaccurate readings.
• Tungsten bulb not illuminating:
  • If the dual-color LEDs work but the tungsten bulb does not, the bulb may be faulty. Contact customer support if within warranty.
