1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the GFAZXDS Digital Electronic Scale. This precision instrument is designed for accurate weighing in industrial, commercial, and postal applications. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the scale to ensure proper use and to maintain its performance.

2. Safety Information

  • Do not overload the scale beyond its maximum capacity.
  • Avoid exposing the scale to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Keep the scale away from strong electromagnetic fields.
  • Clean the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
  • Ensure the scale is placed on a stable, level surface for accurate readings.
  • If using batteries, ensure they are inserted with correct polarity. Remove batteries if the scale will not be used for an extended period.

5. Setup

5.1 Power Supply

The scale can be powered by two methods:

  • Battery Power: Insert 2xAAA batteries into the battery compartment located on the underside of the display unit. Ensure correct polarity.
  • AC Adapter: Connect the provided AC adapter to the power input port on the display unit and plug it into a standard electrical outlet.

5.2 Placement

Place the scale on a firm, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate measurements. Avoid placing it near vibrations or drafts.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Weighing

  1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the scale.
  2. Wait for the display to show "0.00" before placing any items on the platform.
  3. Place the item to be weighed gently on the center of the weighing platform.
  4. Read the weight displayed on the LCD screen.
  5. Press the UNIT button to cycle through available weight units (e.g., kg, g, lb, oz).

6.2 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so only the weight of its contents is measured.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.00".
  3. Add the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.

6.3 Hold Function

The Hold function allows you to lock the displayed weight, even after removing the item from the platform.

  1. Weigh an item as usual.
  2. Press the HOLD button. The displayed weight will be locked.
  3. Press the HOLD button again to release the held weight.

6.4 Clock Mode Setting

To set the clock on your scale:

  1. Press and hold the MODE button to enter the time setting. The clock (hour) display will start flashing.
  2. Use the HOLD button to increment the hour and the TARE button to decrement the hour.
  3. Press the MODE button again to move to the minute setting. The minute display will start flashing.
  4. Use the HOLD button to increment the minute and the TARE button to decrement the minute.
  5. Press the MODE button one more time to confirm and exit the time setting.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the scale surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or immerse the scale in water.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the scale in a dry, cool place. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Calibration: This scale is factory calibrated. If you suspect inaccuracies, consult the manufacturer or a qualified service technician.
