4. Setup Instructions
There are two primary methods to set up your Anahit M-97A WiFi Extender: using the WPS button or via a web browser.
4.1. WPS Setup (Recommended for quick setup)
- Power On: Plug the Anahit M-97A extender into an electrical outlet near your existing Wi-Fi router. Wait for the power LED to stabilize.
- Activate WPS on Extender: Press the WPS button on the Anahit M-97A extender. The WPS LED indicator should start blinking.
- Activate WPS on Router: Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your main Wi-Fi router. Refer to your router's manual for the exact location of its WPS button.
- Connect: Wait for the WPS LED on the extender to turn solid, indicating a successful connection. The extender will automatically create new Wi-Fi networks with "_EXT" or similar suffixes (e.g., "YourNetworkName_EXT").
- Relocate (Optional): Once connected, you can unplug the extender and move it to a location halfway between your router and the Wi-Fi dead zone. Ensure the signal strength indicator on the extender shows a good connection to your router.

4.2. Web Browser Setup
- Power On: Plug the extender into an electrical outlet.
- Connect to Extender's Network: On your computer or mobile device, connect to the extender's default Wi-Fi network (e.g., "Anahit_Extender" or similar, usually found on a label on the device). No password is required initially.
- Access Setup Page: Open a web browser and enter the default IP address or web address (e.g., 192.168.1.1 or reapeter.net). Refer to the label on the back of your extender for the exact default settings.
- Log In: Enter the default username and password (usually "admin" for both, or as specified on the device label).
- Select Mode: Choose "Repeater Mode" or "AP Mode" based on your needs (see Section 5 for details).
- Configure Network:
- Repeater Mode: Select your existing Wi-Fi network from the list, enter its password, and optionally change the extender's network name.
- AP Mode: If using AP mode, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the extender's Ethernet port. The extender will create a new Wi-Fi network.
- Complete Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to finalize the configuration. The extender will restart.
- Reconnect: Connect your devices to the new extended Wi-Fi network.

5. Operating Modes
The Anahit M-97A supports two main operating modes:

Figure 5: Two Core Modes for Seamless WiFi Coverage. This diagram visually explains how Repeater Mode extends existing Wi-Fi signals and how AP Mode converts a wired connection into a wireless network.
5.1. Repeater Mode
In Repeater Mode, the extender wirelessly connects to your existing router and re-broadcasts the signal, extending its range. This is ideal for eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones in larger homes or offices.
- Boosts and extends existing Wi-Fi signals.
- Wireless connection to the main router.
- Creates a new extended Wi-Fi network.
5.2. AP Mode (Access Point Mode)
In AP Mode, the extender connects to your router via an Ethernet cable and transforms the wired internet connection into a new wireless access point. This is useful for adding Wi-Fi capability to a wired network or creating a separate Wi-Fi network.
- Converts a wired connection into a wireless network.
- Requires an Ethernet cable connection to the main router.
- Ideal for areas with existing Ethernet wiring but no Wi-Fi.
6. Maintenance and Best Practices
- Optimal Placement: Place the extender in a central location between your router and the area needing coverage. Avoid placing it near large metal objects, concrete walls, or appliances that emit electromagnetic interference (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones).
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates. Updates can improve performance, add features, and enhance security.
- Cleaning: Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Security: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is secured with a strong WPA2 password. Change default login credentials for the extender's web interface.
- Ventilation: Ensure the extender has adequate ventilation to prevent overheating. Do not cover the device.
