Setup and First Brew

Follow these steps to set up your coffee maker for the first time:

  1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials and place the coffee maker on a stable, level surface.
  2. Rinse Components: Wash the carafe, carafe lid, and K-Cup pod holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Fill Water Reservoir: Remove the water reservoir from the back of the brewer. Fill it with fresh water up to the MAX fill line. Replace the reservoir securely.

  4. Plug In: Plug the coffee maker into a grounded outlet. The power button will illuminate.
  5. First Cleansing Brew (Single Serve):
    • Place a large mug on the drip tray.
    • Lift and lower the handle to open and close the K-Cup pod holder. Do not insert a K-Cup pod.
    • Press the 8 oz. button. The brew button will flash, then illuminate solid.
    • Once the brew is complete, discard the hot water.
  6. First Cleansing Brew (Carafe):
    • Place the empty carafe on the heating plate.
    • Open the carafe brew basket and insert a paper filter (not included). Close the brew basket. Do not add ground coffee.
    • Press the 12-cup button. The brew button will flash, then illuminate solid.
    • Once the brew is complete, discard the hot water.

Your coffee maker is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Brewing a Single Serve Cup:

  1. Fill Water Reservoir: Ensure the water reservoir has enough water for your desired brew size.
  2. Place Mug: Place a mug on the drip tray. If using a travel mug, remove the drip tray.
  3. Insert K-Cup Pod: Lift the handle, place a K-Cup pod in the K-Cup pod holder, and firmly close the handle.

  3. Place Carafe: Place the empty glass carafe on the heating plate.
  4. Select Brew Size: Choose your desired carafe size (8 cups, 10 cups, or 12 cups) from the control panel. The selected button will flash during brewing and remain solid when complete.
  5. Pause & Pour: If you need a cup before the carafe is fully brewed, you can remove the carafe for up to 20 seconds. The brewing will automatically pause and resume when the carafe is returned.
