4.3 Cable Testing

4.3.1 Wire Tracer
The wire tracer helps locate network, telephone, and BNC cables by tracing audio signals. It features a digital mode for enhanced interference resistance and a silent mode for discreet operation.

Measure the breakpoint position (open circuit status) of BNC cables, RJ45 network cables, and RJ11 cables. The maximum test length is 3000 meters. Note that short-circuit status will not display cable length.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
