Setup and Assembly

1. How to Install/Change Blades

  1. Align the curved strip of the desired blade (hedge or grass) with the slot on the trimmer head.
  2. Insert the curved strip and press the blade inside the trimmer head.
  3. Press the blade replaceable button and push the blade firmly until it clicks into place. Release the button to secure the blade.
  4. To remove a blade, press the blade replaceable button and pull the blade out.

2. How to Install/Remove Battery

  1. Align the battery with the battery attach part on the trimmer head or extension pole handle.
  2. Insert the battery firmly until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove the battery, press the battery detachable button and pull the battery out.

3. How to Assemble the Extension Pole

  1. Press the buckle on the extension pole and attach the pole to the head of the trimmer unit. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Rotate the fixing buckle on the pole to lock it in place.
  3. To extend the pole, lift the length adjustable buckle and pull the pole to the desired length. Secure the buckle once adjusted. The pole extends from 5.4ft to 7.2ft.

4. Adjusting the Trimmer Head Angle

The cutting head has an adjustable angle of 90° over 7 positions. To adjust, locate the 90° Adjustable Head Knob and press it to change the angle. Release the knob to lock the head in the desired position. This feature allows access to hard-to-reach areas and provides flexibility for different trimming tasks (flat surface, angle trimming, lawn trimming).

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

To start the trimmer, simultaneously press the safety lock button and the trigger. Release the trigger to turn off the tool. The double safety switch design prevents accidental starts.

2. Switching Between Hedge Trimmer and Grass Shear

The tool is designed for quick conversion between a hedge trimmer and a grass shear. Simply remove the currently installed blade by pressing the blade release button and replace it with the other blade type as described in the "How to Install/Change Blades" section.

3. Handheld Operation

For detailed work on small shrubs, bushes, or grass edges, use the trimmer in its handheld configuration. Ensure a firm grip on the ergonomic D-shaped handle. The lightweight design (less than 8.05 lbs) allows for comfortable one-handed operation.

4. Pole Operation for Extended Reach

Attach the extension pole for trimming tall hedges, overhead branches, or large areas of grass without bending. Adjust the pole length as needed for optimal reach and comfort. Always maintain a stable footing when operating with the extension pole.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your TeqHome trimmer.

1. Blade Care

  • After each use, remove the battery and clean the blades with a stiff brush to remove debris, sap, and dirt.
  • Apply a light coat of machine oil or blade lubricant to the blades to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
  • Inspect blades for damage or dullness. Sharpen or replace dull blades as needed to maintain cutting efficiency.

2. Battery Care

  • Charge batteries fully before first use.
  • Use only the provided TeqHome charger. Charging time is approximately 2 hours.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Do not store batteries in a completely discharged state for extended periods. Recharge them periodically if not in use.
  • The batteries feature over-heat, over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current, and over-load protection.

3. General Cleaning and Storage

  • Wipe down the tool's body with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure the tool is completely dry before storing.
  • Store the trimmer in a secure, dry location, out of reach of children and pets.

Troubleshooting
