4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.

- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4.2. Initial Power On
After battery installation, press and hold the LED button (often also the power button) to turn on the device. The display should illuminate and show initial readings.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the LED button.
- Power Off: Press and hold the LED button again until the display turns off. The device may also have an auto-off feature after a period of inactivity.
5.2. Measuring Wind Speed and Temperature
Once powered on, the device will automatically begin measuring and displaying current wind speed and temperature. Ensure the impeller is exposed to the airflow for accurate wind speed readings.
5.3. Unit Selection
- Wind Speed Units: Press the UNIT DOWN button repeatedly to cycle through available wind speed units (e.g., m/s, km/h, mph, knots, ft/min).
- Temperature Units: Press the LIGHT ENTER button (or a combination with UNIT DOWN, if applicable) to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
5.4. Data Hold Function
To freeze the current readings on the display, press the SET HOLD button. Press it again to release the hold and resume live measurements.
5.5. Backlight Operation
Press the LED button briefly to turn the display backlight on or off for improved visibility in low-light conditions.
5.6. Minimum, Maximum, and Average Readings
Press the UP MIN MAX button to cycle through the minimum, maximum, and average wind speed readings recorded since the device was powered on or reset. Press the VEL AVG button to view average velocity.

6.1. Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the casing or display. Keep the impeller free from dust and debris to ensure accurate readings.
6.2. Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries as described in Section 4.1. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
6.3. Storage
Store the anemometer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it in its original packaging or a protective case to prevent damage.
