1. Introduction

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Power-Up and LCD Display

Once wired and powered on, the LCD display will illuminate, showing real-time electrical parameters.

  • KWh: Total electricity consumption.
  • V: Real-time voltage.
  • A: Real-time current.
  • mA: Real-time leakage current.

5.2 Tuya App Connection and Control

  1. Download the Tuya App: Search for "Tuya Smart" in your mobile app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
  2. Register/Log In: Create an account or log in to your existing Tuya account.
  3. Enter Pairing Mode: On the protector, press and hold the "Down" button for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi indicator blinks rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  4. Add Device: In the Tuya app, tap "+" to add a new device. Select "Electrical" > "Circuit Breaker (Wi-Fi)" or allow the app to auto-discover the device.
  5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the in-app instructions to connect the device to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  6. Remote Control: Once connected, you can remotely turn the protector on/off, monitor electricity, voltage, current, and leakage, set timing schedules, and share control with other users.

5.3 Setting Protection Values

You can customize the protection thresholds for overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, and leakage current directly on the device or via the Tuya app.

  1. Press the "Set Up / Query" button to enter the settings menu.
  2. Use the "Raise" and "Down" buttons to navigate through different protection parameters (e.g., Overvoltage, Undervoltage, Overcurrent, Leakage).
  3. Press "Set Up / Query" again to select a parameter for adjustment.
  4. Use "Raise" and "Down" to adjust the desired value.
  5. Press "Set Up / Query" to confirm and save the setting.

5.4 Automatic Reclosing Function

The device will automatically cut off the power supply if any set protection threshold is exceeded (e.g., overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, or leakage). Once the fault condition is no longer detected, the protector will automatically reclose and restore power after a short delay, ensuring continuous operation while maintaining safety.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
  • Regularly check wiring connections to ensure they are tight and secure.
  • Avoid exposing the device to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
