• Lower the load slowly and in a controlled manner.

Setup and Assembly

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the bottle jack and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. If any damage is found, do not use the jack and contact customer service.
2. Handle Assembly: The operating handle typically comes in multiple sections. Assemble the handle by inserting the smaller sections into the larger ones until they are securely connected. This forms the complete pump handle.
3. Familiarization: Locate the main components: the saddle (top of the ram), the extension screw (if applicable, for additional height adjustment), the pump handle socket, and the release valve.
4. Purging Air (Initial Use): Before first use, or if the jack has been stored for a long time, it may be necessary to purge air from the hydraulic system. To do this, open the release valve by turning it counter-clockwise. Pump the handle several times to circulate the hydraulic fluid and expel any trapped air. Close the release valve firmly by turning it clockwise.

Operating Instructions

Lifting a Load

1. Prepare the Work Area: Ensure the jack and the load are on a hard, level, and stable surface. If lifting a vehicle, engage the parking brake and chock the wheels that are not being lifted.
2. Position the Jack: Place the jack directly under the lifting point of the load. Ensure the saddle is centered and making full contact with the lifting point. For multi-directional use, the jack can be positioned vertically, horizontally, or at an angle, provided the load is stable and within capacity.

3. Close Release Valve: Insert the slotted end of the handle into the release valve and turn it clockwise until it is firmly closed. Do not overtighten.
4. Pump the Handle: Insert the handle into the pump handle socket. Pump the handle up and down steadily to raise the jack ram and lift the load. Continue pumping until the desired height is reached.

5. Secure the Load: Immediately after lifting, place appropriately rated jack stands or other stable supports under the load. Never rely solely on the jack to support a load.

Lowering a Load

1. Clear the Area: Ensure all tools, personnel, and obstructions are clear from under and around the load.
2. Remove Supports: If jack stands were used, slightly raise the load with the jack to relieve pressure on the stands, then carefully remove the jack stands.
3. Open Release Valve: Slowly and gradually turn the release valve counter-clockwise using the handle. The load will begin to descend. Control the rate of descent by adjusting how much the valve is opened.
4. Fully Lower: Continue to open the valve until the load is fully lowered and the jack ram is retracted. Once the load is fully supported by the ground, remove the jack.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your bottle jack.

• Inspection: Before each use, inspect the jack for any signs of damage, cracks, leaks, or loose parts. Check the hydraulic fluid level periodically.
• Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and debris. Wipe down the ram and cylinder after each use.
• Lubrication: Lightly lubricate moving parts, such as the pump mechanism and pivot points, with a general-purpose grease or oil.
• Hydraulic Fluid: Use only high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Never use brake fluid, alcohol, glycerin, detergent, or motor oil, as these can damage the seals and hydraulic system. To check/add fluid: fully retract the ram, remove the oil filler plug, and fill to the level of the filler hole. Replace the plug.
• Storage: Store the jack in a clean, dry place with the ram fully retracted to prevent corrosion and extend seal life.
