Setup
1. Initial Cleaning:
Before first use, wash the water reservoir, portafilter, filter baskets, and drip tray with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry all parts.
2. Filling the Water Reservoir:
Remove the water reservoir from the back of the machine. Fill it with fresh, cold filtered water up to the MAX line. Place the reservoir back securely into the machine.

3. First Use / Priming the Machine:
- Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
- Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Press the Power button. The machine will begin heating up.
- Place a cup under the portafilter spout (without coffee).
- Press the "Espresso" button to run a cycle of hot water through the system. This primes the pump and cleans the internal components. Repeat this step 2-3 times.
- Turn the steam knob to release steam for a few seconds to prime the steam wand.
- The machine is now ready for use.
Operating Instructions
Brewing Espresso:
- Ensure the machine is powered on and preheated.
- Select the appropriate filter basket (single or double shot) and place it into the portafilter.
- Grind fresh coffee beans to a fine consistency suitable for espresso.
- Fill the filter basket with ground coffee. For a single shot, use approximately 7-8 grams. For a double shot, use approximately 14-16 grams.
- Tamp the coffee grounds firmly and evenly using the tamper. Wipe any excess grounds from the rim of the portafilter.
- Insert the portafilter into the group head and twist firmly to lock it into place.
- Place your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts.
- Press the "Espresso" button for a single shot or "Espresso x2" for a double shot. The machine will automatically brew the espresso.
- Once brewing is complete, remove the cup(s). Carefully remove the portafilter and discard the used coffee grounds.

Frothing Milk:
- Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to one-third full.
- Press the "Steam" button on the control panel. Wait for the machine to reach steaming temperature (the indicator light will illuminate steadily).
- Position the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Turn the steam control knob to release steam.
- Lower the pitcher slightly to introduce air into the milk, creating foam. Once desired foam is achieved, submerge the wand deeper to heat the milk.
- Continue steaming until the milk reaches the desired temperature (around 150-160°F or 60-70°C).
- Turn the steam control knob off and remove the pitcher. Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Daily Cleaning:
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under hot water. Use a brush to remove any stubborn coffee residue.
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray daily. It is removable for easy cleaning.
- Steam Wand: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth. Purge a small amount of steam to clear any milk residue from inside the wand.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Descaling:
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions, or use a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio).
- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution.
- Place a large container under the portafilter and steam wand.
- Run several brewing cycles (without coffee) until half of the solution has passed through.
- Run steam through the steam wand until half of the remaining solution has passed through.
- Turn off the machine and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Empty the remaining solution and rinse the water reservoir thoroughly.
- Fill the reservoir with fresh water and run several cycles through both the portafilter and steam wand to rinse out any descaling solution residue. Repeat this rinsing process 2-3 times.
