1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the TEISQI 12V 6A Intelligent Battery Charger and Maintainer. This device is designed to efficiently charge and maintain various 12-volt lead-acid batteries, including AGM, GEL, SLA, and Flooded types. It features advanced technology for optimal battery performance and longevity, suitable for cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, lawn mowers, and boats.

2. Safety Information

• Always wear eye protection and protective clothing when working with batteries.
• Ensure the charger is disconnected from the power outlet before making or breaking connections to the battery.
• Connect the positive (red) clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal first, then the negative (black) clamp to the negative (-) battery terminal or a chassis ground away from the battery.
• Do not charge frozen batteries. Allow them to thaw before charging.
• Do not use the charger if cables or clamps are damaged.
• Keep the charger away from flammable materials and liquids.
• This charger is designed for 12-volt lead-acid batteries only. Do not attempt to charge other battery types, especially lithium batteries.

4. Setup

1. Connect Battery Clamps: Attach the red positive (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the 12V battery. Attach the black negative (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the 12V battery.
2. Connect to Power: Plug the charger's power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. The charger will power on and display the current battery voltage and temperature.

5. Operating Instructions

Once connected, the charger will automatically detect the battery type and condition. Use the 'MODE' button to select the appropriate charging program if needed.

5.1 Mode Selection

Press the MODE button to cycle through the available charging programs:

• Car/Truck Mode: Standard charging for automotive and truck batteries.
• AGM/GEL Mode: Optimized charging for AGM and Gel batteries.
• Motorcycle/Trickle Mode: Low current charging for smaller batteries and long-term maintenance.
• Pulse Repair Mode: For restoring sulfated or stratified batteries. This mode can take 6-10 hours.

5.2 Visualized Charging (LCD Display)

The large LCD screen provides real-time information:

• Voltage (V): Displays the current battery voltage.
• Current (A): Shows the charging current.
• Temperature (°C): Indicates the ambient temperature, influencing the Winter/Summer mode.
• Charge Percentage: Visual battery icon showing the approximate charge level.
• Mode Indicators: Icons for Car/Truck, AGM/GEL, Motorcycle/Trickle, and Pulse Repair.
• Error Indicators: Alerts for reverse connection or other issues.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity of your battery and the charger.

6.1 Float/Trickle Charging

For long-term battery maintenance, especially during winter or extended storage, use the Motorcycle/Trickle mode. Once the battery is fully charged (display shows "FUL"), the charger automatically switches to trickle charge to keep the battery at an optimal level without overcharging.

6.2 Pulse Repair

If your battery shows signs of sulfation, acid stratification, or has been idle for a long time, the Pulse Repair mode can help restore its performance. This process can take 6-10 hours. Note that this function cannot activate or charge completely dead batteries.

7. Troubleshooting

• Charger Not Turning On: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a live outlet and the battery clamps are correctly connected.
• "FUL" Displayed but Battery Still Low: This may indicate a deeply discharged or damaged battery. Try the Pulse Repair mode. If the issue persists, the battery may need replacement.
• Error Message/Indicator: Check for reverse polarity connection (red clamp to negative, black to positive). Disconnect and reconnect correctly. Ensure clamps have good contact with battery terminals.
• Slow Charging: Verify the correct mode is selected for your battery type. Ensure the ambient temperature is within the operating range for optimal charging.
• Charger Gets Warm: This is normal during operation. The built-in cooling fan helps dissipate heat. Ensure the fan vents are not blocked.
