2. Package Contents
Please verify that all components are present in the package:
- 1x Wireless Rain Gauge Outdoor Sensor
- 1x Indoor Digital Display Console
- Mounting Screws (typically 2)
- Instruction Manual (this document)
- (Batteries are typically not included and must be purchased separately)
3. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to set up your BIUWING Wireless Rain Gauge for accurate operation.
3.1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment on both the outdoor sensor and the indoor display console.
- Insert the required batteries (e.g., AA or AAA, refer to the device markings) into each unit, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartments securely.
3.2. Outdoor Sensor Placement
Proper placement of the outdoor sensor is crucial for accurate rainfall measurements.
- Choose an open location where the sensor will not be obstructed by trees, buildings, or other objects that could block rainfall or create false readings.
- Ensure the sensor is mounted on a level surface. Use the integrated horizontal display instrument (bubble level) on the sensor to confirm it is perfectly level.
- Mount the sensor securely using the provided screws or other suitable mounting hardware.
- The wireless transmission range is typically 0-200 feet (60 meters) in open air. Position the sensor within this range of the indoor display unit.

3.3. Indoor Display Console Placement
Place the indoor display console in a convenient location where you can easily view the data.
- Ensure it is within the wireless range of the outdoor sensor.
- Avoid placing it near large metal objects or electronic devices that could interfere with the wireless signal.
- The console can be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall.

3.4. Initial Synchronization and Time Setting
After installing batteries, the indoor console should automatically attempt to connect with the outdoor sensor and synchronize the time via WWVB radio control. This process may take a few minutes.
- If synchronization does not occur automatically, refer to the troubleshooting section or the specific button functions on your console for manual pairing or time setting.
- Ensure the console is placed in an area with good reception for the WWVB signal.
4. Operating Instructions
