5. Setup
5.1 Initial Inspection
Before installation, rotate the spindle head by hand. It should feel flexible and free of any blockage. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
5.2 Mounting
Mount the spindle securely using the provided mounting flange. Refer to the dimensional drawing for precise mounting hole locations and overall dimensions.

Figure 5: Dimensional drawing for spindle mounting.
5.3 Electrical Connection
The spindle requires a three-phase inverter for operation. Ensure the inverter specifications and parameter settings match the spindle parameters.
- Connect the three-phase inverter power cord to the aviation adapter pins:
- Pin 1 (U)
- Pin 2 (V)
- Pin 3 (W)
- Connect Pin 4 (GND) to the inverter ground.
After connecting the power, observe the spindle rotation direction. If it is incorrect, consult your inverter manual for phase reversal instructions.

5.4 Initial Run-in Procedure
When the spindle has been stored or transported, the bearing grease condition may change. Perform the following run-in procedure:
- Run the spindle at a low speed (e.g., 2000-3000 rpm) for 30 minutes.
- Gradually increase the speed by 3000 rpm increments, running for 20 minutes at each increment, until the desired operating speed is reached.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Speed Regulation
The spindle speed is regulated by adjusting the frequency output of the three-phase inverter. Refer to your inverter's manual for detailed instructions on frequency adjustment.
6.2 Tool Clamping
Use ER32 collets to clamp tools with diameters ranging from 1mm to 20mm. Ensure the collet nut is tightened securely to prevent tool slippage during operation. The ER32 collet nut is designed for high grinding inner cone precision of 0.01mm.
6.3 Applications
This spindle is suitable for engraving and milling various materials, including:
- Wood
- Normal PCB
- PVC
- PMMA plastic
- Duotone board (ABS)
- Other non-metal materials
- Soft metals such as gold, silver, copper, aluminum, and lead.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the spindle motor to prevent dust and debris buildup, especially around the cooling fins and chuck area. Ensure power is disconnected before cleaning.
7.2 Bearing Care
The spindle uses P4 fully sealed angular joint bearings designed for high temperature and low heat, offering low friction, low noise, and a long service life. Proper run-in procedures and operating within specified temperature ranges will help maintain bearing integrity.
8. Troubleshooting
- Spindle not rotating: Check power connections, inverter settings, and ensure the emergency stop is not engaged.
- Incorrect rotation direction: Verify inverter phase wiring. Consult your inverter manual for instructions on reversing motor direction.
- Excessive noise or vibration: Check for loose mounting, unbalanced tools, or potential bearing issues. Discontinue use and inspect.
- Overheating: Ensure adequate airflow for the air-cooling system. Check for obstructions around the cooling fins.
9. Warranty and Support
This product comes with a warranty for:
- Bearings: 6 months
- Coil: 1 year
