Product Overview

The SKBAK Smart Bark Collar is an advanced device designed to help manage and reduce excessive barking in dogs of various sizes. It features multiple training modes, adjustable sensitivity, and a clear display for easy monitoring and operation.

Setup

Package Contents

Before beginning, ensure all components are present in the package:

• 1 x SKBAK Smart Bark Collar
• 1 x USB Charging Cable
• 1 x Test Light
• 2 x Sets of Metal Prongs (short and long)
• 2 x Silicone Protective Covers
• 1 x User Manual

Charging the Collar

The collar features fast charging, providing up to 15-20 days of use on a single charge. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.

1. Locate the USB charging port on the collar.
2. Open the rubber boot covering the charging port to expose it.
3. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the collar and a compatible USB power source (e.g., USB adapter, computer, portable charger, car charger).
4. The display will indicate charging status.
5. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and securely close the rubber boot to maintain waterproofing.

Adjusting the Collar Strap and Prongs

The adjustable strap accommodates dogs weighing 8 to 120 pounds with neck sizes from 8 to 25 inches. Proper fit is crucial for the collar's effectiveness and your dog's comfort.

1. Adjust the strap length using the slider buckle to ensure a snug but comfortable fit around your dog's neck. You should be able to fit one to two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck.
2. Select the appropriate metal prongs based on your dog's hair length. Shorter prongs are suitable for short-haired dogs, while longer prongs are for dogs with thicker coats to ensure proper contact.
3. Screw the chosen metal prongs into the designated holes on the back of the collar unit.
4. For added comfort and protection, place the silicone protective covers over the metal prongs.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off and Display Navigation

To power on the collar, long-press the Power button located on the top of the unit. The blue indicator light will illuminate, and the display will activate. To power off, long-press the Power button again.

The color screen provides real-time information and allows for easy adjustment of settings. Use the Action button to navigate through the menus and select options.

Wearing Correction Indicator

The collar features a "Wearing Reminder" to ensure proper placement. When the collar is correctly positioned on your dog's neck, the display will show a green "WEAR OK" status. If it's not properly positioned to detect barking sounds, a red "WEAR WRONG" status indicator will appear. Adjust the collar until the green indicator is shown for optimal performance.

Sensitivity Levels (A/B)

The collar offers two sensitivity levels to adapt to different environments and dog vocalizations:

• Sensitivity-Low (A): Recommended for noisy outdoor environments (e.g., parks, streets) or for dog breeds with mild barking and soft vocalizations.
• Sensitivity-High (B): Ideal for quiet indoor environments (e.g., training alone, nighttime rest) or for dog breeds with frequent excessive barking and loud vocalizations.

Training Modes

The collar provides multiple correction modes to suit different training needs. You can select individual modes or combinations:

• Beep: An audible tone as a warning.
• Beep + Vibration: A combination of audible tone and gentle vibration.
• Beep + Vibration + Shock: A combination of audible tone, vibration, and a static shock.
• Beep + Vibration + Shock Boost: A combination of audible tone, vibration, and a stronger static shock.
• Shock Boost: A stronger static shock only.

Note: It is recommended to start with milder modes (Beep, Vibration) and only use shock modes after understanding your dog's barking behavior and consulting the user manual.

Scientific Bark Counting

The collar includes a bark count feature to help monitor your dog's behavior over time. This allows you to assess the effectiveness of the training and make adjustments as needed.

• The display shows the number of barks recorded.
• If barking counts decrease daily, it indicates the collar is working effectively.
• If the bark count does not decrease, consider changing the training mode or sensitivity level and continue to observe the effect.
• You can long-press the action button to clear the bark count.

Safety Protection Mode

To protect your dog from unnecessary punishment, the collar includes a safety protection mode. After 10 consecutive activations (beeps, vibrations, or shocks), the collar will automatically pause operation for 15 seconds before resuming.

Waterproof Design

The SKBAK Smart Bark Collar is designed with durable, waterproof materials and sealed components, featuring an IP67 waterproof rating. This ensures the collar can withstand various outdoor conditions, including:

• Splashes
• Rainy weather
• Bathing
• Swimming

You do not need to worry about the collar malfunctioning in wet environments.

Cleaning and Care

Regularly inspect the collar for any signs of wear or damage. Clean the collar unit and strap with a damp cloth as needed. Ensure the metal prongs are clean and free of debris to maintain proper contact with your dog's skin.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your SKBAK Smart Bark Collar, please refer to the following common solutions:

• Collar not activating: Ensure the collar is fully charged and powered on. Check the battery level indicator on the display.
• "WEAR WRONG" indicator: Adjust the collar's position on your dog's neck to ensure proper contact of the prongs with the skin. The green "WEAR OK" indicator should appear.
• Ineffective training:
  • Check the sensitivity level (A or B) and adjust it according to your environment and dog's vocalizations.
  • Experiment with different training modes (Beep, Vibration, Shock) to find the most effective method for your dog.
  • Monitor the bark count to track progress and identify if adjustments are needed.
• Collar not holding charge: Ensure the charging cable is securely connected and the rubber boot is properly sealed when not charging.
