1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new heater. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before using this heater.
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Always unplug heater when not in use.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater, or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • This heater has an automatic tip-over safety switch that will shut off the heater if it is accidentally tipped over.
  • This heater is equipped with an overheat protection system that will shut off the heater if it becomes too hot. If this occurs, unplug the heater, wait 10 minutes for it to cool down, and then plug it back in.
  • Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
  • Do not use an extension cord with this heater.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for off-season storage.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure it is at least 3 feet (0.9 m) away from walls, furniture, and other combustible materials. Do not place it on soft surfaces like rugs or carpets that could block the air intake.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet. Do not use an extension cord or power strip.
  4. Initial Use: For the first few minutes of initial use, a slight odor may be present as the heating elements burn off manufacturing residues. This is normal and will dissipate quickly.

5. Operating Instructions

The Lutntc PTC-150 features touch button controls for easy operation.

  1. Power On/Off: Press the POWER button (⏻) to turn the heater ON or OFF. The indicator light will illuminate when the heater is on.
  2. Mode Selection: With the heater ON, repeatedly press the MODE button (☰) to cycle through the available modes:
    • H1 (1000W Heat): Low heat setting.
    • H2 (1500W Heat): High heat setting.
    • ECO Mode: Automatically selects the optimal heating power based on ambient temperature to maintain a comfortable environment efficiently.
    • FAN Mode: Operates as a fan only, circulating air without heat.
  3. Timer Function: Press the TIMER button (⏱) to set an automatic shut-off time. Each press will increase the timer by 1 hour, from 1 to 12 hours. The heater will automatically turn off after the set time has elapsed.
  4. Safety Features:
    • Tip-Over Protection: If the heater is accidentally tipped over, the internal safety switch will automatically shut off the unit. Place the heater upright on a stable surface to resume operation.
    • Overheat Protection: If the heater's internal components reach an unsafe temperature, the overheat protection system will automatically turn off the heater. Unplug the heater from the wall outlet, wait 10 minutes for it to cool down, and then plug it back in to reset and resume normal operation.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

Cleaning:

  • Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Gently use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust from the air intake and exhaust grilles.
  • Never immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater.

Storage:

  • Store the heater in its original packaging in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid storing in areas where it may be exposed to excessive dust or moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

If your heater is not operating correctly, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:
