4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly is required for this vanity desk. Please follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the video below and the accompanying text. It is recommended to have a second person assist with assembly for stability and ease.

Refer to the numbered parts and hardware in your package. Do not fully tighten screws until all pieces are aligned, then perform a final tightening.

1. Prepare the Base Panels: Attach the drawer slides to the main base panels (parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) using the specified screws. Ensure the slides are correctly oriented for smooth drawer operation.
2. Assemble the Side Cabinets: Connect the smaller support panels (parts 6, 7, 8, 9) to the main side panels using cam locks and dowels. These form the framework for the drawer units.
3. Attach the Desktop: Secure the desktop panel (part 10) to the assembled side cabinets. Ensure it is flush and all connections are tight.
4. Construct the Upper Storage Unit: Assemble the shelves and dividers for the upper storage unit (parts 42-45, 51-54, 59-61). This unit sits on top of the desktop.
5. Install the Mirror: Carefully attach the LED mirror (part 50) to the designated area on the upper storage unit. Connect the power cable for the LED lighting.
6. Assemble the Drawers: Construct each of the 8 drawers (parts 16-41, 63-68) by attaching the sides, front, back, and bottom panels. Install the drawer handles (part E) and then insert the completed drawers into their respective slides.
7. Assemble the Stool (if included): Follow the separate instructions for assembling the stool, typically involving attaching the legs to the seat.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. LED Mirror Operation

The large LED mirror features adjustable 3-color lighting to suit various makeup needs and ambient conditions.

• Power On/Off: Locate the touch sensor on the mirror surface. Tap once to turn the lights on or off.
• Change Color Temperature: With the lights on, tap the touch sensor repeatedly to cycle through the three lighting modes: Warm Yellow, Warm White, and Cool White.
• Adjust Brightness: To adjust brightness, press and hold the touch sensor. The brightness will gradually increase or decrease. Release when the desired brightness is achieved.

5.2. Drawer and Storage Use

The vanity desk is equipped with 8 drawers (2 hidden, 6 additional) and open storage shelves for organizing your items.

• Opening/Closing Drawers: Gently pull or push the drawer handles for smooth operation. The metal glides ensure quiet and full extension access.
• Hidden Storage: Utilize the two hidden sliding drawers for discreet storage of valuables or less frequently used items.
• Open Shelves: Arrange frequently used cosmetics, perfumes, or decorative items on the open storage shelves for easy access and display.

Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your GOFEI Vanity Desk.

• Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish. The metal legs are designed for easy cleaning underneath the vanity.
• Spills: Immediately wipe up any spills to prevent staining or damage to the engineered wood.
• Mirror Care: Clean the mirror with a glass cleaner and a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the mirror to avoid liquid seeping into the electrical components.
• Drawer Maintenance: Periodically check drawer slides for smooth operation. If needed, a small amount of silicone lubricant can be applied to the slides.
• Tighten Fasteners: Over time, fasteners may loosen. Periodically check and tighten all screws and bolts to maintain stability.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your vanity desk, refer to the following common solutions:

• LED Mirror Not Lighting Up:
  • Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into both the mirror and a working electrical outlet.
  • Check if the outlet is receiving power by plugging in another device.
  • Verify that the touch sensor is clean and unobstructed.
• Drawers Sticking or Not Sliding Smoothly:
  • Check if the drawer slides are properly aligned and securely attached to both the drawer and the cabinet.
  • Ensure the drawer is not overloaded, which can cause misalignment.
  • Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the drawer slides if friction is present.
• Vanity Feels Unstable:
  • Re-tighten all assembly screws and bolts.
  • Ensure the vanity is placed on a flat, level surface.
