5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on. It will power off automatically when the vehicle is turned off.

5.2 Video Recording

  • Continuous Loop Recording: The dash cam continuously records video in short segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes). When the MicroSD card is full, the oldest unlocked footage will be overwritten by new recordings.
  • 4K UHD Video Quality: Records high-clarity video at 2160P/30fps, ensuring detailed footage.
  • WDR Technology: Wide Dynamic Range technology provides clear night vision in various lighting conditions.

5.3 G-Sensor & Emergency Recording

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When a significant event is detected, the dash cam automatically saves and locks the current footage into a protected folder, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. The sensitivity of the G-sensor can be adjusted via the Fitcamx APP.

5.4 Parking Mode

Parking mode provides surveillance when your vehicle is parked. This feature may require an additional harness (e.g., Fuse Box Cable for 24-hour recording or OBD Cable for 24-hour and non-24-hour recording) for full functionality. Consult the Fitcamx APP for specific settings and requirements.

5.5 Wi-Fi & Fitcamx APP

The dash cam features built-in Wi-Fi for seamless connection to the Fitcamx APP on your smartphone. This allows you to:

  • Access and preview live video feed.
  • Download important footage directly to your phone.
  • Playback recorded videos.
  • Adjust dash cam settings (e.g., G-sensor sensitivity, loop recording duration).

To connect: Download the Fitcamx APP from the App Store or Google Play. Connect your phone to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password can be found in the app or manual). Note: If you experience issues with live preview, try turning off cellular data or Bluetooth on your phone.

6. Maintenance

6.1 MicroSD Card Management

  • Formatting: It is recommended to format the MicroSD card regularly (e.g., once a month) via the Fitcamx APP to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
  • Capacity: The dash cam supports MicroSD cards up to 256GB. A 64GB card is included, providing approximately 5 hours of 4K recording.
  • Replacement: If the MicroSD card shows signs of wear or error, replace it with a high-quality, high-speed card (Class 10 or U3 recommended).

6.2 Cleaning

  • Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality.
  • Clean the exterior of the dash cam housing with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your FITCAMX dash cam, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Dash Cam Not Powering On:
    - Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power source (sunroof plug).
    - Verify that the vehicle's ignition is on.
  • App Cannot Connect to Dash Cam Wi-Fi / No Live Preview:
    - Make sure your phone's Wi-Fi is enabled and connected to the dash cam's network.
    - Try temporarily disabling your phone's cellular data and Bluetooth while connecting to the dash cam's Wi-Fi.
    - Restart both your phone and the dash cam.
  • Video Footage is Blurry or Unclear:
    - Clean the camera lens with a soft cloth.
    - Ensure the protective film (if any) has been removed from the lens.
    - Check if the dash cam is securely mounted and not vibrating.
  • MicroSD Card Error / Recording Issues:
    - Format the MicroSD card using the Fitcamx APP.
    - Ensure the MicroSD card is properly inserted.
    - If issues persist, try using a different, high-quality MicroSD card (up to 256GB, Class 10/U3).
  • Dash Cam Shuts Off After 30 Seconds (for some models):
    - This behavior might indicate an issue with the power supply or a specific setting. Ensure the power connection is stable. If using parking mode, verify the correct harness is installed and configured.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, please contact FITCAMX customer support for further assistance.
