Setup

1. Charging the LED Light

Before initial use, ensure the built-in LED fill light is fully charged. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the lens and a power source. The indicator light will be red during charging and turn white when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours and provides up to 3 hours of illumination at full brightness.

2. Attaching the Lens to Your Smartphone

The microscope lens attaches to your smartphone using the 17mm thread phone lens clip. This clip is compatible with most smartphones, including various iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models. For optimal stability and alignment, consider using NEEWER phone cages, phone cases, or backplates that feature 17mm threads (sold separately).

1. Clean Your Phone's Camera: Before attaching, ensure the main camera and any additional cameras on your phone are clean to prevent dust or smudges from affecting image quality.
2. Align the Clip: Position the phone lens clip so that its central hole is directly over your smartphone's main camera lens.
3. Secure the Clip: Tighten the clip gently but firmly to secure it to your phone.
4. Attach the Microscope Lens: Align the 17mm thread of the microscope lens with the threaded opening on the phone clip. Turn the lens clockwise to securely attach it.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off and Adjusting LED Brightness

The microscope lens features a multifunction switch to control power and brightness:

• Power On: Short press the multifunction switch.
• Power Off: Long press the multifunction switch.
• Adjust Brightness: While powered on, short press the multifunction switch to cycle between two dimming levels.

2. Zero Distance Shooting

This lens is designed for "zero distance shooting," meaning you place the lens directly on the surface of the subject you wish to observe or photograph. This method ensures the sharpest macro images.

1. Attach the lens to your phone as described in the Setup section.
2. Turn on the built-in LED light to illuminate your subject.
3. Place the lens directly onto the surface of the item you want to photograph.
4. Use your phone's camera app to capture macro photographs. This method is ideal for observing plants, trichomes, coins, stones, skin, and other small details.

3. Optimizing Image Quality

For the best image quality, it is recommended to shoot at 1x zoom with your phone's camera and disable any macro mode or other digital zoom features. This ensures that the optical magnification of the microscope lens is fully utilized without digital interference.
