1. Product Overview

This instruction manual provides detailed guidance for the installation and use of the HOWHY Cabinet Folding Door Hardware Set. Designed for remodeling cabinet doors, this aluminum sliding bifold door hardware offers smooth operation and strong load-bearing capacity. It is suitable for various applications including bathroom cabinets, kitchen cabinets, closets, and laundry room cabinets.

2. Product Components

The HOWHY Cabinet Folding Door Hardware Set includes the following components:

• 1 Meter (39.37") Rails: Aluminum track for smooth door movement.
• Pulley Assemblies: Mechanisms that allow the doors to slide along the track.
• Side Folding Pulley Hinge Assembly: Connects the door panels to the pulley system.
• Door Stop Assembly: Prevents doors from sliding too far.
• Decorative Covers: For aesthetic finishing after installation.
• Plastic Hinge Assembly: Connects the folding door panels.
• Hinge Punch Template: Tool for accurate drilling of hinge holes.

3. Installation Guide

Follow these steps for proper installation of your HOWHY Cabinet Folding Door Hardware Set. Ensure you have all components listed in Section 2 before beginning.

3.1. Prepare Door Panels and Cabinet

Ensure your cabinet and door panels meet the specified dimensions:

• Applicable cabinet door width ≤ 19.68" (500mm).
• Door height ≤ 47.24" (1200mm).
• Cabinet door thickness: 0.7"~1" (18mm~25mm).
• The center divider of the cabinet should be retracted by 30mm.

3.2. Install Plastic Hinges

Use the provided hinge punch template to mark and drill holes for the plastic hinges on the folding door panels. Ensure the hinges are installed in the same direction, with the three-hole side facing the direction of the fixed door.

3.3. Mount the Rail and Pulley Assemblies

Install the aluminum track (rail) inside the top of the cabinet. Ensure the pulley assemblies and door stop assemblies are correctly positioned within the rail, facing the direction of the door opening.

3.4. Install Full Overlay Cabinet Door Hinges

Attach the full overlay cabinet door hinges to the fixed side of the cabinet and the corresponding door panel. These hinges allow the main door panel to swing open.

3.5. Attach Door Panels to Pulley System

Carefully hook the Side Folding Pulley Hinge Assembly to the Pulley Assemblies slot. The door panel should be gently lifted upwards during this step. Once hooked, adjust the off-center pegs on the door panels to fine-tune the door's position. Secure with decorative covers after adjustment.

4. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the HOWHY Cabinet Folding Door Hardware allows for smooth and quiet operation of your bifold cabinet doors. To open, gently pull the door handle. The panels will fold and slide inward, providing full access to the cabinet interior. To close, push the door panels back into position until they are fully closed and aligned.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your HOWHY Cabinet Folding Door Hardware, regular maintenance is recommended:

• Cleaning: Wipe the aluminum tracks and hardware components with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Lubrication: Periodically apply a silicone-based lubricant to the pulley wheels and track to maintain smooth sliding action. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust.
• Inspection: Regularly check all screws and connections to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to prevent misalignment or damage.
• Hinge Adjustment: If doors become misaligned, adjust the screws on the hinges as shown in the installation video to correct the door panel position (1:24 - 1:34 and 1:42 - 1:50).

6. Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their solutions:

• Doors not sliding smoothly:
  • Check the track for obstructions or debris and clean if necessary.
  • Apply lubricant to the pulley wheels and track.
  • Ensure the track is securely mounted and level.
• Doors are misaligned:
  • Adjust the screws on the full overlay cabinet door hinges and the off-center pegs on the Side Folding Pulley Hinge Assembly to correct alignment. Refer to the installation video for guidance.
  • Verify that all hinges are installed in the correct direction.
• Doors not closing completely:
  • Check for obstructions.
  • Ensure door stop assemblies are correctly positioned and not interfering with closure.
  • Adjust hinges for proper door panel fit.
