1. Product Overview

2. Safety Precautions

  • For indoor use only. Do not expose the main unit to water or high humidity.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets when not in use or during cleaning.
  • Ensure the power cord is placed securely to prevent pets from chewing on it.
  • Use only dry kibble. Do not use wet food, canned food, or treats larger than 10mm to prevent clogging.
  • Clean the feeder regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Power Supply

The feeder supports dual power options:

  • Primary Power: Connect the provided 5V/1A power adapter to the feeder and a wall outlet.
  • Backup Power: For uninterrupted feeding during power outages, install 3 D-cell alkaline batteries (not included) in the battery compartment at the bottom of the unit.

4.2 Assembly

  1. Place the main feeder unit on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Attach the food tray to the designated slot at the front of the feeder until it clicks into place.

4.3 Food Filling

  1. Open the lid of the food storage tank.
  2. Pour dry kibble into the tank. Ensure the kibble size is between 2mm and 10mm to prevent blockages.
  3. Close the lid securely to maintain food freshness.

4.4 App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

The IMIPAW feeder connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.

  1. Download the App: Search for "PetTech" in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
  2. Register/Log In: Open the PetTech app and create a new account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Add Device: In the app, select "Add a device" and choose "Pet Feeder with Camera (Wi-Fi)".
  4. Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password.
  5. Scan QR Code: The app will generate a QR code. Hold your phone's screen 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) in front of the feeder's camera lens. Ensure the QR code is clearly visible to the camera.
  6. Confirmation: Wait for an audible beep from the feeder, indicating successful connection. The device will then appear in your app.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Scheduling Meals

Program your pet's feeding schedule through the PetTech app:

  1. Open the PetTech app and select your feeder device.
  2. Navigate to the "Feeding Schedule" or "Meal Plan" section.
  3. Set the desired meal times (up to 8 meals per day).
  4. For each meal, specify the number of portions (1 portion equals approximately 1 tablespoon, up to 20 portions per meal).
  5. Save your settings. The feeder will automatically dispense food at the programmed times.

5.2 Two-Way Audio Communication

Interact with your pet remotely using the built-in microphone and speaker:

  1. From the live view interface in the PetTech app, tap the microphone icon to speak to your pet.
  2. Your voice will be broadcast through the feeder's speaker.
  3. Listen to your pet's responses through the feeder's microphone, streamed back to your phone.

5.3 Voice Recording for Meal Reminders

Record a personalized 10-second voice message to call your pet to eat:

  1. In the app, go to the feeder settings or voice recording section.
  2. Tap the record button and speak your message (e.g., "Hi, baby, it's mealtime!").
  3. Save the recording. This message will play automatically at each scheduled mealtime.

5.4 Remote Monitoring (Camera)

  • Access the live video feed through the PetTech app anytime, anywhere.
  • The 110° wide-angle lens provides a broad view of the feeding area.
  • The camera supports motion detection, sending alerts to your phone when activity is detected near the feeder.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your pet feeder:

  • Food Tray and Tank: The food tray and food storage tank are removable for easy cleaning. Wash them with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
  • Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
  • Camera Lens: Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear visibility.
  • Food Outlet: Periodically check the food outlet for any kibble residue or blockages and clear them carefully.

7. Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

  • Feeder not connecting to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The feeder does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
    • Check your Wi-Fi password for accuracy.
    • Make sure the feeder is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
    • Restart your router and the feeder, then try connecting again.
  • Food not dispensing:
    • Check if the food tank is empty.
    • Ensure the kibble size is appropriate (2-10mm) and not causing a blockage.
    • Verify that the feeding schedule is correctly set in the app.
    • Check if the feeder has power (either via adapter or D-cell batteries).
  • Camera not working/poor image quality:
    • Ensure the feeder is connected to Wi-Fi and has a stable internet connection.
    • Clean the camera lens with a soft cloth.
    • Check your network bandwidth. A slow connection can affect video quality.
  • Two-way audio not functioning:
    • Ensure your phone's microphone and speaker are enabled and not muted.
    • Check the volume settings on both your phone and within the app.
    • Verify network stability.
