1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your BASEKAMP AERO Racing Wheel Dock. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the product.

Important Note:

  • This product is a mechanical steering wheel dock. It requires a DualSense or DualEdge controller (not included) for functionality.
  • The AERO Racing Wheel Dock is compatible only with motion sensor games. It is not a standalone electronic steering wheel.
  • Ensure your game supports motion sensor functionality before use.

3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your AERO Racing Wheel Dock for use:

3.1. Attaching the Controller

  1. Ensure your DualSense or DualEdge controller is powered off.
  2. Align the controller with the opening in the Racing Wheel Grip. The controller should slide in smoothly.
  3. Gently push the controller into the grip until it is securely seated. The quick-load design ensures a snug fit.

3.2. Mounting the Wheel Dock

The AERO Racing Wheel Dock offers flexible mounting options:

  • Table Mount: Use the included Desk Clamp to secure the wheel base to a table or desk. The clamp can accommodate surfaces up to 48mm (1.9 inches) thick. Tighten the clamp securely by hand.
  • Lap Mount: For a more relaxed gaming experience, the wheel base can be rested on your lap.
  • Handheld Grip: The Racing Wheel Grip can also be used independently as a handheld device, providing an ergonomic grip for motion-controlled steering.

4. Operating Instructions

The AERO Racing Wheel Dock enhances motion-controlled racing games by providing a physical steering wheel interface for your controller.

4.1. Game Compatibility

This dock is designed for games that utilize the motion sensor capabilities of your DualSense or DualEdge controller. Compatible games include:

  • Gran Turismo 7
  • My First Gran Turismo
  • Gran Turismo Sport
  • Drive Club
  • Project Cars

Always verify that your chosen game supports motion sensor steering for optimal experience with this product.

4.2. Steering Mechanism

  • The wheel offers 220 degrees of steering rotation.
  • An auto-centring mechanism ensures the wheel returns to its neutral position when released, providing consistent control.
  • Dual metal bearings contribute to smooth, frictionless steering.

4.3. Ergonomics

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AERO Racing Wheel Dock, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the wheel dock with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the wheel dock in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the unit or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this may damage the internal mechanisms or external casing.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AERO Racing Wheel Dock, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
