6. Setup

6.1 Battery Installation

Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the sensor.
Insert 2 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).

Ensure your weather station (receiver) is powered on and in pairing mode (refer to your weather station's manual for specific instructions).
Open the back cover of the remote sensor.
Adjust the TX Switch to select the desired transmission channel (CH1, CH2, or CH3). Ensure this channel matches the channel you intend to use on your weather station.
Press the SET button (or Channel Button, if labeled as such) inside the battery compartment to initiate pairing.
Once the link is successful, the weather station display will show the temperature and humidity transmitted by the sensor on the corresponding channel.

7.1 Temperature Unit Selection (°C/°F)

To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units:

Open the battery compartment cover.
Locate the °C/°F Switch inside the compartment.
Toggle the switch to your preferred temperature unit. The change will be reflected on the sensor's LCD display and transmitted to the weather station.

7.2 Channel Selection

If you are using multiple remote sensors with one weather station, each sensor must be set to a different channel (CH1, CH2, or CH3). To change the channel:

Open the battery compartment cover.
Locate the Channel Button (or TX Switch, depending on model) inside the compartment.
Press the button to cycle through the available channels (CH1, CH2, CH3). Ensure the selected channel matches the setting on your weather station for that specific sensor.

Optimal placement ensures accurate readings and reliable transmission.

Outdoor Placement: For outdoor use, place the sensor in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, to prevent inaccurate temperature readings. Protect it from direct rain and snow.
Indoor Placement: For indoor use, place the sensor in the desired room, away from vents, windows, or appliances that could affect temperature and humidity.
Transmission: Position the sensor within the 200ft-320ft (60-97 meters) transmission range of your weather station. Walls, metal objects, and electronic devices can reduce the effective range.
Mounting: Use the integrated hanging hole to mount the sensor on a wall, or utilize the bottom bracket for freestanding placement on a flat surface.

9. Maintenance

Cleaning: Wipe the sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the sensor's display or on your weather station. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new AA batteries.
