Safety Instructions

Setup
1. Preparing the Robot
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Install Side Brushes: Attach the side brushes to the designated posts on the bottom of the robot until they click into place.
- Install Central Brush: Ensure the central silicone brush is properly installed in its compartment.
- Charge Battery: Before first use, fully charge the robot. Place the robot on the charging base, ensuring the charging contacts align. The indicator light will show charging status.
2. Setting up the Charging Base
- Place the charging base against a wall in an open, uncluttered area.
- Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on either side of the base and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of it.
- Plug the power adapter into the charging base and then into a wall outlet.
- Keep the area around the charging base clear of obstacles to allow the robot to return easily.

Operating Instructions
1. Initial Mapping and Navigation
The Conga 8490 uses laser navigation to create an interactive map of your home. For the first cleaning cycle, allow the robot to clean the entire accessible area to build a complete map.

2. Using the Mobile App (APP Control)
The Cecotec APP allows for advanced control and customization of your robot's cleaning functions.
- Download App: Search for "Cecotec Conga" in your smartphone's app store and download the official application.
- Connect Robot: Follow the in-app instructions to connect your Conga 8490 to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Map Management: Once connected, the app will display the generated map of your home. You can define, plan, and schedule cleaning for specific rooms or the entire house.
- Restricted Areas: Use the app to set up restricted areas where you do not want the robot to clean.
- Cleaning Modes: Select from various cleaning modes, adjust suction power (4 levels), and water flow for mopping.
- Scheduling: Set daily or weekly cleaning schedules.
- Cleaning History: View past cleaning cycles and maps.

3. Cleaning Functions (4-in-1)
The Conga 8490 can perform sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing simultaneously or separately.
- Vacuuming: The robot features a powerful 7000 Pa suction motor to effectively remove dust, pet hair, and large particles from various surfaces.
- Mopping/Scrubbing: Attach the mop cloth to the mixed tank and fill the tank with water. The robot will then mop the floor as it vacuums. Adjust water flow via the app.
- Pet Hair Optimization: The central silicone brush is specifically designed for optimal collection of pet hair.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.
1. Emptying the Dust Bin
Empty the dust bin after each cleaning cycle or when full. The dust bin is integrated with the mixed tank.
- Press the release button to remove the mixed tank from the robot.
- Open the dust bin compartment and empty its contents into a trash can.
- Clean the dust bin with a dry cloth. Do not wash the dust bin with water unless specified for the model.
2. Cleaning Filters
The high-efficiency filter should be cleaned regularly and replaced every 3-6 months depending on usage.
- Remove the filter from the dust bin.
- Tap the filter gently to remove dust and debris. Do not wash the HEPA filter with water.
- Replace the filter if it is heavily soiled or damaged.
3. Cleaning Brushes
- Central Brush: Remove the central silicone brush. Use the provided cleaning tool to cut and remove any tangled hair or fibers.
- Side Brushes: Remove the side brushes and clean any hair or debris wrapped around them. Replace if bristles are worn or bent.
4. Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts
Wipe the sensors and charging contacts on the robot and charging base with a clean, dry cloth to ensure proper function.
