5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning the Handset
The Poly Rove 30 Handset features Microban® antimicrobial product protection, which helps keep the device cleaner for longer by actively reducing the growth of bacteria. To clean the exterior:
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the device's finish and antimicrobial coating.
- Ensure no liquid enters openings such as the speaker, microphone, or headset port.
5.2. Battery Care
- For optimal battery life, fully charge the handset before first use.
- Avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures.
- If the handset will not be used for an extended period, store it with a partial charge (around 50%) in a cool, dry place.
- Replace the battery if you notice a significant decrease in talk or standby time. Use only genuine HP/Poly replacement batteries.
5.3. Ruggedized Protection
The Poly Rove 30 is IP65-rated, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against water jets. While durable, avoid intentionally submerging the device in water or exposing it to high-pressure water streams. The handset is also drop-proof, designed to withstand accidental drops, but extreme impacts should still be avoided.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. No Dial Tone / Cannot Make Calls
- Ensure the handset is registered to the DECT Base Station.
- Check that the Base Station is powered on and connected to the network.

6.2. Poor Audio Quality
- Check for interference from other electronic devices.

6.3. Handset Not Charging
- Verify the AC Power Adapter is securely connected to both the Charging Cradle and a working power outlet.
