2. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your IWECOLOR Laser Engraver Machine:

1. Unboxing and Placement: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the machine on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure adequate space around the machine for operation and material handling.

2. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the machine and then to a suitable power outlet.
3. Material Placement: Place the material you wish to engrave or cut onto the working surface under the laser head.
4. Focus Adjustment:
   • Place the fixed-focus column between the material and the laser head.
   • Loosen the knob screw on the laser head to adjust its height until the fixed-focus column fits snugly between the laser head and the material.
   • Tighten the knob screw to secure the laser head in place.
   • Remove the fixed-focus column.

5. Software Installation: Install the recommended software (LightBurn or LaserGRBL) on your computer. Refer to the software's documentation for specific installation steps.

3. Operating Instructions

Operating the IWECOLOR Laser Engraver Machine involves preparing your design and initiating the engraving/cutting process:

1. Software Launch and Connection: Open the LightBurn software (or LaserGRBL). Ensure the machine is connected and recognized by the software (e.g., COM port selected).
2. Design Preparation:
   • Import or create your design within the software.
   • Adjust the size of your design to fit your material.
   • Divide the pattern into different layers for cutting and engraving as needed. For example, set black lines to 'line' mode for cutting and blue lines to 'fill' mode for engraving.

3. Positioning and Framing:
   • Use the 'Move' tab in the software to adjust the laser's starting position.
   • Click the 'Fire' button (set to a low power, e.g., 0.75%) to see a laser reference point, helping you confirm the exact starting position on your material.
   • Click the 'Frame' button to trace the outline of your design. This allows you to visualize the engraving area and ensure it fits correctly on your material.
4. Start Engraving/Cutting: Once satisfied with the positioning, click the 'Start' button in the software to begin the process. Monitor the machine during operation.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your laser engraver:

• Cleaning the Laser Lens: Periodically clean the laser lens with a soft, lint-free cloth and a specialized lens cleaning solution. Ensure the machine is powered off before cleaning.
• Cleaning the Work Area: Remove debris and dust from the honeycomb work surface and surrounding areas after each use to prevent buildup and ensure proper material placement.
• Lubrication of Rails: Apply a small amount of lubricant to the guide rails and moving parts every few months to ensure smooth operation of the laser head.
• Cooling System: The machine features a hidden active cooling system. Ensure proper airflow around the machine to allow the cooling system to function effectively and extend the laser's lifespan.
