Setup
Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
The device requires 2 x 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries. New batteries are included in the package.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To turn on: Press the Power ON / OFF button.
- To turn off: Press and hold the Power ON / OFF button for a few seconds. The device will also automatically shut off after a period of inactivity.
Setting Reference Point and Units
The LT50 allows you to set the measurement reference point from either the front or the back of the device. You can also switch between different measurement units.
- To switch reference points (front/back): Short press the Unit button.
- To switch measurement units (m/ft/in/ft+in): Long press the Unit button.

Basic Distance Measurement
- Point the laser at the target.
- Press the Measure button once. The laser will activate.
- Press the Measure button again to take the measurement. The result will be displayed on the screen.
Measurement Modes
The LT50 offers several measurement modes for various applications. Press the Menu button to cycle through the available modes.

- Single Measurement: Standard distance measurement.
- Continuous Measurement (Min/Max):
Press the Continuous Measurement button. The device will continuously measure and display the current, minimum, and maximum distances. Press the button again to stop.

- Area Measurement:
Select area mode. Take two consecutive distance measurements (length and width). The device will automatically calculate and display the area.
- Volume Measurement:
Select volume mode. Take three consecutive distance measurements (length, width, and height). The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.
- Pythagorean Mode:
Used for indirect measurement of heights or distances. Follow the on-screen prompts to measure the hypotenuse and one leg of a right-angled triangle. The device will calculate the unknown side.
Addition and Subtraction
The LT50 can add or subtract measurements.
- Take the first measurement.
- Press the Addition + / Subtraction - button (short press for addition, long press for subtraction).
- Take the second measurement. The result of the calculation will be displayed.

Mute Function
To operate the device silently, activate the mute function.
- Long press the Clear (Return) / Mute button to toggle the key tone on or off.

Automatic Storage
The device automatically stores up to 100 sets of measurement data. When the memory is full, the oldest record will be overwritten by the newest measurement.
- To view stored data: Press the Memory button.
- Use the arrow buttons (if available, or cycle through with Memory button) to navigate through the stored records.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in its carrying pouch in a cool, dry place when not in use. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
- Laser Lens: Keep the laser lens clean to ensure accurate measurements. Use a soft cloth, similar to cleaning camera lenses.
- Water and Dust Resistance: The device is IP54 rated, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and splashing water. However, it is not fully waterproof and should not be submerged.
