  1. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the vacuum sealer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  3. Clean the vacuum channel and sealing strip regularly to prevent food particles from affecting performance. Use a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, then wipe dry.
  4. Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or next use.

2. Storage

  • Store the vacuum sealer in a cool, dry place.
  • For optimal performance and to prevent deformation of the sealing strip, it is recommended to store the lid in the unlocked position when not in use.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Bonsenkitchen VS4100, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Machine does not turn on.Not plugged in; power outlet issue.Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
Bag does not vacuum properly.Bag not positioned correctly; vacuum channel blocked; bag leakage; lid not locked.
  • Ensure the open end of the bag is fully inside the vacuum channel and flat.
  • Check the vacuum channel and sealing strip for food debris and clean if necessary.
  • Inspect the bag for holes or tears. Use a new bag if damaged.
  • Ensure the lid is firmly closed and the easy-lock handle is fully engaged.
Bag does not seal.Sealing strip dirty/wet; bag not positioned correctly; sealing strip worn out.
  • Clean and dry the sealing strip.
  • Ensure the bag is placed directly over the sealing strip.
  • If the sealing strip is visibly worn or damaged, contact customer support for replacement.
Vacuum is weak or inconsistent.Bag issues; vacuum channel obstruction; Globefish Technology not optimized.
  • Ensure the bag is smooth and free of wrinkles in the vacuum channel.
  • Clean the vacuum channel thoroughly.
  • For optimal vacuuming, ensure the bag is correctly aligned with the patented Globefish Technology's airbag sealing strip, which contracts to ensure a clear vacuum channel.
Seal is not airtight.Moisture in sealing area; bag material; Globefish Technology not optimized.
  • Wipe any moisture or food particles from the inside of the bag near the sealing area.
  • Ensure you are using appropriate vacuum sealer bags.
  • For a tighter seal, especially with liquids, use the "Extended Seal" function. The Globefish Technology's airbag sealing strip expands after vacuuming to apply over twice the pressure of traditional vacuum sealers.

Figure 8: Globefish Technology for 100% Vacuuming.

This diagram compares traditional vacuuming methods, which can lead to blockages due to residual heat flattening bag ridges, with Bonsenkitchen's patented Globefish Technology. The latter ensures a clear vacuum channel by preventing the airbag sealing strip from pressing against the bag, allowing for effective air removal.

Figure 9: Globefish Technology for Perfect Sealing.

This diagram illustrates how Bonsenkitchen's patented Globefish Technology achieves a perfect seal. Unlike methods that might result in weak seals due to insufficient pressure, this technology ensures the airbag sealing strip expands after vacuuming, applying over twice the pressure of traditional vacuum sealers for a tighter and more even seal.
