5. Cooking Guide

This air fryer oven uses hot air circulation to cook food, resulting in crispy textures with less oil. Cooking times and temperatures may vary based on food type, quantity, and desired crispness.

General Tips:

  • Preheating: For best results, preheat the air fryer oven for 3-5 minutes before adding food.
  • Oil Usage: While designed for oil-free cooking, a light spray or toss with oil can enhance crispness and flavor for some foods.
  • Shaking/Turning: For even cooking, especially with items in the mesh baskets, shake or turn the food halfway through the cooking process.
  • Overfilling: Do not overfill the baskets or trays. Cook in smaller batches if necessary to ensure proper air circulation and even cooking.
  • Food Doneness: Always ensure food is cooked to a safe internal temperature.

Dehydrate Function:

The dehydrate function operates at lower temperatures (30°C to 80°C) over longer periods to remove moisture from food. This is ideal for making fruit leathers, dried fruits, vegetable chips, and jerky.

  • Slice food thinly and uniformly for consistent drying.
  • Arrange food in a single layer on the mesh baskets, ensuring good airflow.
  • Drying times can vary significantly based on the food type, thickness, and desired dryness.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Glen Air Fryer Oven.

Cleaning the Main Unit:

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Clean the interior with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn food residue, use a non-abrasive sponge and warm, soapy water.
  • Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.

Cleaning Accessories:

  • The drip tray, mesh baskets, rotating mesh basket, skewers, and rotisserie shaft can be washed with warm, soapy water.
  • For baked-on food, soak the accessories in warm water for about 10-15 minutes before cleaning.
  • Note: The appliance and its accessories are not dishwasher safe. Hand wash only.
  • Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before reassembling or storing.
