Safety Information

WARNING: LASER PRODUCT CLASS 3a

Peak Power is less than 5mW. Complies with 21 CFR 10.40.10 and 1040.11. Do not stare directly into the laser beam or point it at others. Direct eye exposure to the laser can cause permanent eye damage. Use caution when operating the laser rangefinder.

Always handle the device with care. Avoid dropping or subjecting it to severe impacts. Keep the device away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.

Product Overview

The ATN BinoX 4K 4-16X Smart Day/Night Binoculars are designed for versatile observation in various lighting conditions. Key features include Ultra HD optics, 1080p video recording at 120 fps, smooth digital zoom, and a built-in laser rangefinder. The device also offers app connectivity for enhanced control and data management.

Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before initial use, fully charge the internal Lithium Ion battery using the provided USB-C cable and a compatible power source. The device requires 1 Lithium Ion battery, which is included.

2. Inserting a Micro SD Card

To enable video recording and photo capture, insert a Micro SD card (4GB to 64GB recommended) into the designated slot. Ensure the device is powered off before inserting or removing the card.

3. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button located on the top of the device until the display illuminates to power on. Repeat the process to power off.

4. App Connectivity

Download the ATN Obsidian app from your device's app store (iOS or Android). Enable Wi-Fi on your binoculars and connect your smartphone or tablet to the binoculars' Wi-Fi network. This allows for remote control, live streaming, and data transfer.

Operating Instructions

1. Day and Night Mode

The binoculars automatically adjust to ambient light conditions. You can manually switch between Day Mode (color) and Night Mode (monochrome) as needed for optimal viewing.

2. Smooth Zoom

Use the zoom controls to adjust the magnification from 4X to 16X. The smooth zoom feature allows for seamless transitions, mimicking natural eyesight.

3. Laser Rangefinder

Activate the built-in laser rangefinder to measure the distance to your target. Point the reticle at the desired object and press the rangefinder button. The distance will be displayed on the screen.

4. Video Recording (1080p at 120 fps)

Press the record button to start and stop video recording. The binoculars capture video in Full HD 1080p at 120 frames per second, allowing for detailed playback and slow-motion analysis.

5. Ballistic Information Exchange

The BinoX 4K can exchange ballistic information with compatible ATN devices, such as smart scopes. This feature assists in calculating precise shot solutions by sharing range data.

6. Extended Metadata

The device displays real-time data including e-compass orientation, current zoom level, distance to target, and 3D gyroscope information on the screen.

7. Built-in IR Illuminator

For enhanced night vision performance, the BinoX 4K features a built-in IR illuminator. Activate it in low-light conditions to improve visibility and range in total darkness.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Use the provided lens cloth to gently clean the optical surfaces. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution designed for optics can be applied to the cloth. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

2. Storage

When not in use, store the binoculars in their protective carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods.

3. Water Resistance

The device is water-resistant. However, it is not designed for submersion. Avoid exposing it to heavy rain or splashing water for prolonged durations.

Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Check that the battery is properly inserted.
  • Poor image quality: Clean the lenses with a soft cloth. Adjust the focus and diopter settings. Ensure you are in the correct Day/Night mode for ambient light conditions.
  • Laser Rangefinder not working: Ensure there are no obstructions between the device and the target. Verify the target is within the effective range of the rangefinder.
  • App connectivity issues: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on both the binoculars and your smart device. Confirm you are connected to the correct Wi-Fi network broadcast by the binoculars.
  • Video recording not saving: Check if a Micro SD card is inserted and has sufficient free space. Ensure the card is formatted correctly.
